This 3BR/2BA NON-SMOKING Condominium is in the Summer House Complex, a class above the other resorts, and a gated community. It has breathtaking views for miles and miles from its 14th floor tiled balcony that wraps around our corner unit. Now, this balcony is SO big you can lay on the lounge chair and still have room at your feet for someone to pass in front of you! ALL of you will have enough room to sit on the balcony at one time, not in shifts! You can watch the dolphins play! Hear the waves, sip that morning coffee in peaceful bliss, see the stars, ships, manta rays, toast the sunset...

You'll be surrounded in luxury in this completely furnished unit with many extras, such as a full size washer and dryer, full stereo with CD player, four DVD players! Flat screen TV's in every room! Master bedroom is gulf-front, with a king bed and its' own door to the huge balcony. The side bedroom has a queen bed. The second bedroom has twin beds and also a 25 inch TV with VCR! Blackout curtains in all so you might get a chance to sleep in - maybe the kids will too?
Each bedroom opens to the balcony. There is also a queen size sleeper sofa. Two full-size bathrooms - the master has the HUGE walk in shower and was just totally remodeled for your comfort and use, the guest has the HUGE bathtub!! Soft white towels for eight, and clean fresh egyptian sheets on all the beds will be waiting! Every room has been freshly redecorated and updated! We even have a 'butler' to great you and hold your keys! (He keeps all secrets too, what happens at the beach stays at the beach!)Totally equipped kitchen with all stainless steel NEW appliances and EVERY possible item provided -coffee maker, grinder, blender, bagel toaster,all new cookware too!
This spacious corner unit allows extra sunlight to the living and dining room, and spectacular sunsets from the side. Relaxing multi-color city lights to dine by! Plenty of room to sit back and relax. Even on the 14th floor, you can still hear the ocean lull you to sleep! The living room just got the latest update - fresh paint, new furniture and carpet! We love it so much, most Saturdays and Sundays you will find us sitting on the boardwalk in front of Building B enjoying the scenery and sunshine! Look for the old couple with the 'Detroit Red Wing' decals on their blue cooler!

LOVED the balcony. Sliding glass door opening to balcony from every room. Very CLEAN. Great ocean view. Plenty of linen & pillows. Plan to stay here again. Kid friendly.Recommended for: Families with young children, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, sightseeing.

my wife and i stayed for our 2nd year here our 4th at Summer House our first unit there was nice but nothing like this exquisite corner unit. we enjoy the views, the roominess ,the balcony. the owners are very accommodating with us and we really appreciate the care. we hope to continue staying here for years to come, a month here is relaxing and really settles the soul. we highly recommend staying here.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, adventure seekers, tourists without a car.

I stayed here my first time in Sept. with my daughter and her family and it was truly wonderful! I have stayed in other condos in this area before but have to say we enjoyed the location and style of this one most!Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Our trip was a girls weekend getaway. We had a wonderful time and the 8 of us had plenty of room. We were so impressed with how well maintained everything was, you could tell the owners take good care of their condo. We also loved how well stocked everything was. The kitchen had anything you could possibly need. The beach was great but our favorite part was sitting on the huge balcony watching the dolphins.Recommended for: Age 55+, girls getaway.

This was the most enjoyable time off I have experienced in a long time. What a treat to get up in the morning, fix a cup of coffee, sit on the balcony and watch the dolphins go by while listening to the sounds of the gulf. The balcony was large enough for the entire family to sit together, the breeze was always wonderful - what more could you ask for. Everyone in the area was friendly and it was a wonderful experience. The girls have already asked if we can come to the same place next year. Thanks Sandy!Recommended for: Families with young children, girls getaway.

We have just arrived home from our second year staying at Wilgus Palace. Again, we had a great time. Once again, the Condo was excellent and the beach was beautiful. We love this condo because it is convenient to all of our favorite spots, especially Tacky Jacks. Not only do the kids love the beach, they spend a lot of time in the indoor pool and the outdoor pool. The view again was breathtaking! We look forward to next year...There is no other choice for us than to be at your condo!Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway.

We stayed in this great condo for 3 nights. The balcony wraps around and all bedrooms have access to the balcony. There were 6 of us (all girls) and we had plenty of room. It is beautifully decorated and in great shape - all of the luxury that is needed. And the owners are so nice to work with. Hope we can rent it again next year. It is right on the beach - beautiful view and just a few steps away. Clean and well maintained. Would recommend it to my friends and relatives. Loved the Hangout and Lulus (had young adults with us).Recommended for: People with disabilities, families with young children, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

Six mature women escaped to this lovely condo for much needed rest and relaxation. After each day in the sun and sand, we returned to it's comfort. Amidst the fun activities of vacation days, we thoroughly enjoyed this beach retreat, the nearby shops and restaurants. After the many questioning phone calls to the owners, we loved meeting this patient couple over the weekend. Year Purchased: 1997
About the owner: I am in my early 50's, as is my husband. We moved from Michigan in 2006 after my husband received a 'forced' retirement from General Motors. Living in Alabama was a lifelong dream of mine, as I had visited different parts of the state many times. Fortunately my husband fell in love with the beach too. He is currently working at an airplane manufacturing company in Foley, while I work for an insurance salesman in Pensacola. We hope someday to actually truly retire and look forward to staying at Summer House with an indefinite length of time - no end date to head somewhere else! Added note: April 2011: We just returned from a week cruising the Hawaiian Islands. It was beautiful -BUT- as soon as we could the same day we returned, we headed for Summer House to enjoy OUR BEACH...just as pretty to us!
Why the Owner Chose Summer House:
In 1989 my family began vacationing in Orange Beach. We loved it so much we purchased a two bed/two bath ocean SIDE condo up the street from Summer House. WE loved THAT so much we knew we would want to retire here someday, and needed a bigger condo to accommodate our children and their families later. In checking the different resorts, Summer House stood out way ahead of any other condo around. I remember looking up at the building from the two-tiered pool side and asking my husband if he thought we could ever be able to be so fortunate to own a unit there! In 1997 our dream was realized as we bought 1406A. We have since retired and moved nearby, not quite able to afford full time retirement at the beach just yet. But we visit weekly, if not daily, and take tremendous pride in keeping it in the 'ahhh' category we first experienced when we entered our condo. We hope you feel the same.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
The balcony is number one - to eat, rest or visit on. Walking the beach, the indoor pool and jacuzzi. Nearby shopping is so convenient for fun or groceries. Sometimes we have forgotten how much fun it is to play miniature golf with family of all ages! Personally, I prefer to just do dolphin watch 8-10 hours a day from the boardwalk by the pool. I used to offer a dollar to the first person who could spot a dolphin for me! Still works to this day!
