We stayed at Sweet Escape for our honeymoon and absolutely loved being at the Villa for our 11 night stay in Provo! Prior to arriving in Provo, dealing with Katherine was a dream, we were rest assured with any questions we had about the property and were promptly and quickly responded to. When we got to Sweet Escape, Wayne was so friendly and helpful. He made sure we were completely comfortable for our stay and told us to contact him at any time if we ever needed anything. Sweet Escape is in a great central location and we rented the Jeep which was very handy for getting around the island. Having a kitchen and beautiful open space to hang out in was great, we had all of the amenities at our fingertips and if we ever needed anything we could go to the nearby IGA. We enjoyed being able to pick up fish from the local market and bringing it home to cook a romantic and delicious dinner at home. It was a nice change from eating out all the time. The bedrooms were a great size as were the washrooms. We had plenty of towels and beach gear that permanently stayed in the car so we could hop over to the beach at any time. Having the cell phone and wifi on premise was great, we were able to pull up directions and restaurant reviews with ease. Also using the washer and dryer was great too, it gave us the ability to pack light! We ate plenty of the local food and did the snorkeling and parasailing excursions. We truly got to experience island life that I imagine would be a little hard to do if you were at a resort. We had a great time and would absolutely recommend staying at the Sweet Escape Villa! We're so glad we chose the villa to enjoy such a beautiful trip and would definitely consider going back if we went to Provo again! Thanks for all of your help Wayne and Katherine!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with young children.

Sweet Escape Villa in Providenciales, Turks and Caicos is truly a "slice of heaven". The caribbean style villa with vaulted wood beamed ceilings and tropical breeze blowing through was so incredibly beautiful and thoroughly enjoyed. The sun rises on the east side of the house so we sat out on the side deck with our Ipad's and coffee checking emails in our pj's. It was so relaxing and private. The landscaping and palm trees are so tranquil. The Villa is fully equipped - they have thought of everything! Sitting at the dockside patio under the stars at night was pure bliss. Millions of stars and so clear and close! Lots of shooting stars! The island just has an amazingly safe, warm feeling. The islanders are very hospitable and charming. Wayne is stellar and between he and Katherine's Island Guest Directory - we were pointed in the right direction from the very beginning. 4 of us signed up for a Deep Sea Fishing Trip with Wayne's company Oceanvibes.com. Captain Paul and OJ took us just outside of the reef starting at 9am on their well equipped 35 ft power catamaran G-Kat! You can see shore the entire time and it wasn't ruff at all. The ladies relaxed and listened to music while Josh and I reeled in a few big ones with the help of OJ. We caught 2 3 ft Wahoo and a 40 lb Tuna. That was incredible. What a rush reeling in those babies. The boat was well stocked with beer, rum punch, chips and salsa, sodas and water and the guys took care of our every need. The girls wanted to snorkle at the reef so Paul brought snorkel gear and took us snorkelling. We saw everything from sharks to parrot fish, turtles and lobster. The visibility is far! Really super clear. It was a 1/2 Day Private Charter and we booked online. We met Paul and OJ at the boat "G-Kat" right by Sharkbite Restaurant in Turtle Cove and had the best day on the water ever. It was so easy to cruise around the island in the Jeep. Now that we have been out on the water we will likely rent the boat when we go back next year. Incredibly, beautiful white sand beaches, turquiose waters and perfect weather! What more could anyone want! The people that live in TCI are truly blessed and they know know it and appreciate it and you can feel that everywhere you go! Thanks for your guidance Wayne & Katherine - we had the best trip ever! Bless you, your villa & your watersports business! C u soon.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers, people with disabilities, families with teenagers, girls getaway, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children.

We stayed the last week of March 2012, 4 adults - the space was perfect for two couples. We loved the large living space on the second floor - the screened porch (where we ate outside every evening) was wonderful. Those who stay should know that the house is on a canal and is not ocean front. That aside - it is close to everything and the manager was very easy to reach. All the islanders are friendly and will talk about anything you want to ask. Charming house, charming people, great experience. Great value for the dollar. It was everything we could want for a first experience in Turks & Caicos.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway.

We loved our time in Turks & Caicos. The 2 bedroom 2 Bath unit was well furnished. The property has all the little things like beach chairs, umbrellas, coolers, bikes & fishing poles ready for use. The upstairs has an open floor plan and a nice deck for eating (along with a grill.) Downstairs both bedrooms are nice size with a large bed in each along with a flat screen TV. The AC worked well but we really did not need it with the nice breeze. We would certainly recommend this unit to anyone visiting. The only drawback is you need to drive to the beach but this is a minor inconvenience considering the space and price. Hope to return again to my taste of paradise.Did you find this review helpful? My wife and have just returned from a wonderful month in Provo and Sweet Escapes Villa. The villa is exactly as seen on VRBO, all amenities as described, very clean and well maintained. The owner ,Kathryn, was on the island for a good part of our stay and dropped by periodically to make sure everything was going o.k. She was also very helpful in giving us info on what to see, where to eat , etc. She has also done up a booklet on these which came in very handy while we were getting acquainted with the island. We were having problems with the wifi when we arrived and Kathryn had it promptly fixed. The villa is ideally located . A 5-10 minute drive will take you to Grace Bay beach or any of the great restaurants. Grace Bay beach is definitely one of the best beaches in the world. We have visited a lot of the islands in the Caribbean and TCI is now our favourite. We had our morning coffee in the screened in porch, frequently had supper there and also had dinner with 6 friends with room to spare. Two good sized tables with lots of chairs. a short walk took you to the canal and the dock which has a couple of chairs for relaxing. The walkway is illuminated with rope lighting in the evening for guidance if going to the dock or providing nice ambiance from the porch. You can't go wrong with any of the restaurants. Tiki Hut (Wednesday night is Rib night! ) and Sharkbite in Turtle Cove are only a 5 minute drive. Nice casual cafe, Green Bean, in the same area. Try Mango Reef and Somewhere in the evening. We were extremely pleased with our " home away from home" and would definitely stay their again. When comparing the price point versus staying on the beach Sweet Escapes is excellent value. Thanks Kathryn for the two chocolate bars that were delivered at the airport...lol. Sorry we missed you before we left.... Hope you enjoyed the bottle of Chianti. Thanks for everything. Owner response: Dear Al & Eleanor, It was truly a highlight of my life to meet you both. Our conversations were very enjoyable. Thank You for the lovely gift - a guest book(journal) for our guests from all over the world to write about thier experiences on island to assist new guests arriving at Sweet Escape - very thoughtful. Also, the bottle of wine and your incredible east coast warm hospitality. We look forward to sharing information on your Vacation Villa in Prince Edward Island, Canada. Loved meeting your freinds and appreciate you sharing our brochure and outstanding review of Sweet Escape Villa. Stay in touch. What a amazing 26 days at Sweet escape villa!!! This was our 3rd trip to Turks & Caicos but always stayed in hotel. Every trip to Turks my husband and I always wanted to stay longer so I found this cute villa that fit our family adventure perfect. We travel with our 14 month son "Jace" my parents, dog and, friends they t rented out the guest cottage. The layout of the villa I feel is perfect for everyone to relax in and plenty of yard space. We rented both Jeep while there which was so convenient. Kathy villa has everything a family needs to enjoy a wondeful vacation. I really enjoyed the walks to canal in early morning after having coffe on the deck.. Cant say enough about the amenties and attention to small details that was at the villa.. I have to mention why this is adventure not only did we miss our connecting flight in Atlantic but we incounter a hurriane while staying at sweet escape villa. Such a blessing we choose this villa becaues Katherine walk us through every detail doing and before the storm approach the island. Not to mention the location of the villa was out of the hurriane Irene path THANK GOD!!! The sky was amazing after the hurriane past is was like GOD spoke it was a sight to see.. We have travel to many islands in caribbean Turks beaches are our favorite BVI's we love also. Differently off the beaten path I encourage people to rent a villa its a much different vacation. Shopping at IGA like being at wholefoods in dc.. Thank thank You so much for everything that you provided for me and my family. I journal l this vacation it was emotional to be not because of the hurriane but I meet some wondering caring people it something I will talk about forever. Also Aug-Sept is slow month but its a great way to visit 4-5 stars hotels for happy hour, spa treatments everyone is so relax pet friendly and kid friendly :-) We will be back either this year or after Xmas holiday......EnjoyRecommended for: Age 55+, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children.

We (4 travellers) were so glad we chose Sweet Escape for our 1st trip to TCI. We much prefer this style of accomodation over the impersonal, expensive hotel/condo resorts. The house had EVERYTHING we needed; Katherine (owner) and Wayne (prop mgr) were so helpful with every aspect of our stay and always readily available. Pre-paid cell phones provided for our use were a nice touch! The washer/dryer allowed us to pack lightly. AC available (but not needed). 2 BRs w baths ensuite. We rented both Jeeps as we like to travel with amenities when we explore the island (chairs, coolers, umbrellas, snorkle gear - all provided!). During our stay, northern swells made Grace Bay like a washing machine so we went to the south-facing beaches (Long Bay etc.) and the Jeeps (weathered but tough) were perfect for the task (also went to NW Point w confidence). Central location: Grace Bay, Turtle Cove, Leeward, Long Bay, Airport, Taylor/Sapodilla/Chalk, IGA, Wine Cellar and most restaurants were all just 5-15 mins away. Nowhere on Provo felt like it was too far for us to get to in a reasonable amount of time. The canal out back was a perfect place for a late afternoon dip and drinks by the dock. Screened-in wrap-around porch was perfect for hanging out morning, noon or night. Quiet, safe, secluded neighborhood. We took advantage of the nice BBQ grill on the porch and ate in once or twice (excellent steaks at IGA; reasonable too!). Had some fantastic meals dining out as well - Magnolia, Bay Bistro, La Brisas (most go for lunch; we went for dinner), Tiki Hut, Sharkbite (fun bar - great staff), Baci, Conch Shack. For scuba we recommend: Flamingo Divers (10 min away) or Ocean Vibe (11 min away). Our best endorsement: After horseback riding w Provo Ponies (fun trip w horses in water @ Long Bay) we were chatting with some folks and telling them about Sweet Escape and our exploits on Provo so far that week. They inquired as to the cost of the villa for the week. It was so much fun watching their jaws drop when we told them! They said that they had paid $6K for their weeks stay in one of the resorts on Grace Bay (and the water there was too rough to enjoy)!! It totally reinforced our decision to stay at such a great place like Sweet Escape Villa. The adjacent cottage is perfect for extending the villa for a larger group or, if occupied, a great way to meet nice new folks (as we did). When we decide to return to Provo (and we will), Sweet Escape Villa will be our port-of-call!Recommended for: Age 55+, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway.
Owner response: Dear Tim and Diane, Thank you both for taking the time to provide such a well thought out, detailed review. We are sure that this review will be of assistance to others look for a great quality vacation experience in the Turks and Caicos. We wish you both an amazing 2012. Our family spent a week at Sweet Escapes from Nov 20 - 27th, 2011. It was absolutley perfect. We were met at the airport by Wayne and he guided us back to the villa and then showed us around and explained everything to us. The property is absolutley perfect for a relaxing vacation away from the hustle and bustle of the city. It's in a quiet location but still close enough to everything that you don't feel like you're spending all your time travelling around. The Jeep rental was perfect. It allowed us to explore the island like we wouldn't have been able to staying only in a resort. The beaches are amazing and the water is unbelievable. It is now my new fave place!! We are looking forward to returning to Sweet Escapes next year for vacation. Katherine looks after everything and is prompt to answer questions while at the villa. It was the most amazing vacation we have ever had. Knowing that we didn't have to worry about anything was awesome. Thank you so much for making this so easy and enjoyable.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with young children.

If you want more than just sitting by the pool for a week then this is the place. It comes with a Jeep! We went to various resturants, we went to amazing beaches, we went snorkling, we went shopping, we went on an awesome sunset Catamaran cruise, we went golfing, we went exploring the entire island. No sitting around getting bored! Sweet Escape is the perfect get away. Lovely home...clean as a whistle, all the little details of home were already here.... from beach chairs to coolers to bikes to fishing rods to boogie boards to fins and snorkel gear..... We would definately come back. I already miss sitting at nite in the screened in porch feeling the warm nite air nursing a glass of good wine...my final coment is about value. We stopped in at a couple of the large hotels....three times the price and NO Jeep! Perfect family destination or for 2 to 3 couples....Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with young children.

We were lucky to have two weeks at Sweet Escape in mid May. Nice space and we didn't even need to use the air conditioning with the open sliders and fans. Good central location to wherever you want to drive to. Our favorite room was the screened in porch where we had the best meals (even better than at Magnolia!). The house is well equipped with supplies. The owner was very accommodating whenver we had a request. Would highly recommend.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with young children.

About: My family and I have been enjoying the good life in the Turks and Caicos Islands since 1986. We are avid scuba divers and water sports enthusiasts. When I drove into the driveway of this property and stepped out of the car. I knew instantly this was the place. It is so peaceful and tranquil. You can hear the birds chirping and feel a nice tropical breeze. The main house is 1600 sq/ft with a 300 sq/ft screened in porch. We wanted to have a boat one day and this property allows us to dock a boat without paying marina fees. The swimming is great. There is so much salt in the water you can float forever. The kids love fishing and we love lying on the dock and looking at the stars. The property is in the perfect location off Leeward Highway at Turtle Creek Drive. It is 1 minute to Turtle Cove Marina in our Jeep. There is a beach on the point at Turtle Cove Marina. 2 minutes to IGA Grocery Store, 1 minute to the convenience store and gas station. 2 Minutes to the movies. 5 Minutes to the Airport, 5 Minutes to Grace Bay Beach, Long Bay Beach, Sapidilla Bay Beach, 2 minutes to Cooper Jack Bay Beach or Turtle Tail. 3 Minutes to Coral Gardens Snorkeling Site. Rent the Seadoo Boat and travel down the canal to Cooper Jack Bay Beach at the mouth of South Side Marina. Venture to the right and visit Sapadilla Bay Beach. Venture to the Left of Marina and visit Long Bay Beach. Go around Leeward Marina to Grace Bay Beach. Seadoo Boat has an Anchor so that you may Scuba Dive and explore the beautiful waters of Turks and Caicos.
Why Discovery Bay:
This is such a peaceful oasis! The canal is great for swimming and we love laying on the dock at night with a glass of wine and looking at the stars! The Canal leads to the south side of the island so we can park a boat at the dock. High elevation and nice tropical breeze. We love the architecture of the Wood Beamed Ceiling and Wrap around screened in Porch. We are in the Real Estate, Scuba Diving, Watersports and Hospitality Industry and love the location in central Provo, it is close to everything by car. Quick jot to the airport, turtle cove marina, IGA, Grace Bay Beach, Nikki Beach in Leeward or Chalk Sound Sapidilla Bay Beach, Long Bay Beach, The Conch Shack Beach, or Malcolm Beach and so on. There is lots to see and do. We provide airport transportation to the Villa where Wayne or Jocelyn will greet you to show your around the property and provide the guest directory with Top 10 List. We have a wealth of island knowledge and are happy to answer your questions prior to your arrival and during your stay.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
This property is so amazingly quiet and beautiful. When we first stepped out of the car with our Realtor we knew this was the place. The lush landscaping, mature trees, the canal, it is so peaceful. A beautiful tropical breeze blows through the property most days and we just love relaxing in a hammock and reading a good book or simply having a siesta. It is so convenient to go for a swim off our very own dock and sunbath in private. There is shore power at the dock for music. We have a few barbecues and often buy fresh fish from the boats or IGA. Visit the Lobster Pound in Five Cays and buy fresh lobster tails. They puff up nice under the broiler. The Palm Trees and flowering shrubs are beautiful. It is a very safe neighborhood and a great place to go for a walk. Their are neighbors on the street but all homes are very private. Seadoo Boat Rental Available at an additional cost. Jeep Rental also available at an additional cost. Sweet Escape will make you feel at home in the Caribbean. Our guest directory will be emailed to you to assist you with Vacation Plans. It contains useful information about the property and Island. You will learn so much more about the island by staying at the Villa and talking to us.
