  We had 17 family members stay for a reunion weekend in Oct 2011. It was an ideal house for all of the people ranging from age 3 to 78 yrs old. It has such an inviting and cozy decor all of us wished we could move in forever. The house was very clean and organized and tastefully decorated. We were able to feel at home in the large lower level family room and play cards and relax on the spacious sun porch. To top it off we were able to roast marshmellows at the backyard fire pit. We highly reccommend this property.

  Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, adventure seekers.

  This home was the best! Better than we expected. My family from Michigan, Illinois and Indiana were really impressed with this home. It's very close in driving distance and is so beautifully decorated and cozy just like home. Our family of 18 just wanted to spend some time together to rest and to enjoy each others company. We had everything we needed and more at Dunehaven and we felt that the owners added personal touches in every room. We didn't do much on the outside, but found everything we needed to keep us busy on the inside. We have found the perfect home for our family and plan to return often. We recommend it to anyone who is looking for the perfect home away from home. And thanks Joy for the beautiful gift basket. It was a nice touch.

  A group of us (12 people) stayed at Dunehaven in June and it was very comfortable for everyone. The house is beautifully decorated and felt like home. We especially loved sitting in the screen enclosed porch and building a fire at night. Most days we would walk or drive to the beach. We spent a couple of days in South Haven and went to Tabor Hill Winery for a tasting and dinner. The weather didn't always cooperate while we were there but we didn't mind as we loved spending time at the house. The owner was very helpful before, during and after our stay. She even left us a gift basket when we arrived and mailed items to us that we left behind. We loved our trip so much that we talked about coming back with our families again in the fall or next year. I would recommend this property to my friend, relatives and anyone who wanted to get away for a peaceful vacation.

  Dunehaven is a special place to gather with generations of family, offering so many extra amenities and space to spread out. Together with it's close location to the lake, completely stocked kitchen and various restaurants and shops, there is something for everyone to enjoy. The children loved playing in the basement and upstairs playroom. We spent much time on the screened porch as well. An a+ home!

  "Incredible Multiple Family Getaway House" "Dunehaven is simply INCREDIBLE! We have rented other houses in the past but never arrived to a welcome basket with a personalized card. Joy is very helpful and responsive to any of the questions we asked prior to our arrival. The house is much bigger than it looks from the outside. The kitchen, family room and porch became our gathering places. We also enjoyed an outing to the Warren Dunes which is very close and easy to access by walking or driving. The fire pit in the backyard makes for a fun gathering place in the evenings. The kids loved playing with all the toys provided in the house. Instructions are provided on how to use the electronics. The kitchen cabinets have labels to make it easy to know where to put things away. Beds were very comfortable. Information book with local guide to restaurants, shopping, activities etc is very helpful. There is plenty of space to be together with a large group but also places for everyone to retreat to. Simply put the owners have all the bases covered and you will not be disappoiinted if you rent Dunehaven. "

  My family had a wonderful time staying at this house. We have been going to different vacation homes across the country for several years now and this one is among our favorites! Joy was wonderful and very helpful in preparing for our stay. We felt welcome into her home form the minuet we arrived. The house was spotless and beautifully decorated, a very comfortable relaxing environment. We are also avid home cooks and the kitchen was equipped with everything we needed to make wonderful meals, we can't wait to go back.

  For several years, our family and five others rented large homes in Harbor Country as our kids were growing up and at home. We spent wonderful weeks together making memories at Lake Michigan. Now that our children are grown, the couples still plan frequent retreats together. Our group stayed at Dunehaven in October 2009 and I can honestly say that we have never rented a home this nice in all our years of being together. I only wish that we had stayed here when our kids were along. Dunehaven was built specifically with families in mind. The five bedrooms and sleeping arrangements are perfect for couples or for large groups with various family combinations. There is something for everyone. The other outstanding feature is the quality of this home. Everything about it is top-of-the-line. There are amenities for everyone with three flat screen TV's, internet access, a huge gourmet kitchen, and a large basement that is perfect for kids to play in on a rainy day. The house is fully furnished with everything you could need for a get-away or a week together as a family. The owners of this immaculate home have done all anyone could ask to make this an outstanding value in a rental property. I would like to be able to make some suggestions to help the owners improve this property, but I am a loss as to what to tell them except..."keep up the good work!" We have stayed in several rental homes like this one, but none compare. We also liked being able to walk directly from the back yard into Warren Dunes State Park. In just a few minutes we were able to walk to see the sunset or be at the lovely public beach. In case you cannot tell by now, our group had a wonderful weekend together at Dunehaven and we hated to leave. I am very confident that we will return with our families and will tell everyone we can about this outstanding property. If you like Harbor Country or have ever considered renting a home like this one, you will not be disappointed by Dunehaven.

  I absolutely LOVED my stay at Dunehaven and can't wait to book again. Unfortunately I was only able to stay for 48 hours, but loved every minute of it. The backyard is connected to Warren Dunes State Park...let me just say hiking in the park is such a wonderful adventure (there are creeks to play in, dunes to hike, and fun paths to follow). I would recommend this house to any group looking for a classy, family friendly, and spacious place to stay. The owners were very thoughtful as they had a welcome basket when we arrived and toys for the kids...SO CUTE! I am looking forward to booking a week long stay in the summer as it's so close to the BEAUTIFUL Lake Michigan...Can't wait!

  The home is well supplied and beautifully decorated. Nice and clean with very comfy beds. It is located just off of Red Arrow Highway with all of it's fun stores, close to numerous wineries, and it's an easy walk to Warren Dunes State Park right on the lake. We enjoyed the open gathering area around the kitchen and the location.
