My wife and I brought our 4 kids (3 teens) for a week in June. We found this cottage to be spacious, very clean and the grounds are impeccably maintained. The owners were extremely helpful with suggestions on places to see, items to bring, and where to eat . While this is all the way on the east end of the island, we found it very easy to get around. We walked to buses and the ferry which could not have been more simple. Additionally, we rented 3 mopeds with no problems. If you're able, it's really the best way to see the entire island. It's really nice having the pool right outside the back door. We had lunch around the pool several times. While there are many great restaurants in Bermuda, based on the owners recommendations, we ate at Blackbeards and Rustico. Both were amazing and we'd also highly recommend those.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, families with young children, tourists without a car.

Our family of 4 (me, husband, 17 and 20 yr. old daughters) stayed at this cottage at the St. George's Club in June 2010. We were looking for a two bedroom house/condo/cottage with a pool, and either on the beach or near the beach. If you've been looking, you know that such a place is hard to find in Bermuda, or extremely expensive. We were glad that our schedule worked to stay here. The owners were a pleasure to work with, and answered all of our questions promptly. They went out of their way to give us some "insider's tips". The cottage was clean, attractively furnished, and spacious enough for us to spread out. The pool is very close, but not so close or loud that it is disruptive when you are in the cottage. There are some small additional charges for optional things like a dvd rental, grill, internet,w/d if you wish to use them, and a cleaning fee. We had planned in advance to eat more lunches out, and dinners in. Restaurant prices in Bermuda are expensive, especially for 4 people, so we brought some frozen meat, lunchmeat, and things like cereal and coffee with us. There is a small but well stocked grocery store in the town of St. George you can walk to for produce, milk, etc. There is also a small convenience-type store at the St. George's club which is a branch of this grocery store. We mostly used the efficient, clean public transportation system (ferry/bus) rather than scooters. Scooters would be the most flexible way to get around, as the location is a little out of the way, but there is much to do nearby. You can take the club's free shuttle to the beach at Tobacco Bay or St. Catherine's beach, or walk there in about 10 minutes. The historic town of St. George is very pretty. An interesting side trip is to the world-renown research center of BIOS ( if you are interested in marine biology or the environment). The club will take you there Wed.mornings for a donation to the center (about 7 minutes away, 2 hour tour). In short, we would be happy to stay here again when we a lucky enough to return to Bermuda.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, families with young children.
