The Rosa House is the perfect place to experience the southern California beach vacation in style. This is a classically remodeled and decorated, single-story beach house with 2 large bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, 1,400 square feet of living space, a beautiful private pool, and hot tub. The Rosa House is nestled in the heart of San Clemente, the “Village by the Sea”, which is arguably southern California’s quaintest beach town. Peak a boo views of the ocean and surrounding hills are seen from the two-car driveway and gated front courtyard and pool area. The San Clemente Pier and T-Street, known for beautiful wide sand beaches and excellent surf, are less than a half-mile and within easy walking distance. Speaking of surfing, world-famous breaks San Onofre and Trestles are less than 5 miles from the front door, as are numerous other reef and beach breaks. The local surf breaks provide suitable waves for the full range of skill levels, from beginner to advanced.
Worried about finding taxis or a designated driver around dinner time? Don’t!!! The Rosa House is only 100 yards from widely renowned Del Mar Avenue and El Camino Real, and easily within “stumbling distance” of dozens of exceptional restaurants, cafes, cantinas, and taverns. Do the girls like short walks to quaint boutiques, antique stores, art galleries, specialty shops, salons, and day spas? You are in luck, just walk over to Del Mar Ave., which is also home to the weekly farmer’s market (Sunday) and monthly events including art shows, live music, and classic car shows. Even the local Starbuck’s, grocery store, and library are a short walk from the perfectly situated Rosa House.
Entry to the Rosa House is made through a custom wood and iron gate. The front wall with stacked stone pillars provides privacy to the front courtyard, which is blasted with full sun throughout the day, warming the freeform, pebbletec finished pool to a pleasant temperature from early May to late October. This is a great sunbathing area furnished with recliners and chairs in full sun and shade areas. Getting hot? Take a dip! Past the pool, the front porch and door open to the large living room with comfortable couches (and sleeper futon), cozy fireplace, 37” flat screen TV, and plush carpeting. The dining area has an antique oak table and chairs, and leads to the updated, fully equipped kitchen with newer appliances, dishwasher, and large refrigerator. The laundry room is off the kitchen, and features free washer, dryer, and detergent.
The huge master suite features skylights, walk-in closet, spacious private bath with dual shower heads, comfortable queen bed, built-in oak shelving,and TV. French doors open to the rear deck and a luxurious Hot Springs spa that is always hot and ready for a dip. The second bedroom is very private and features a comfortable full bed, dresser, mirrored wardrobe closet, and full private bath.
This place is plush! Special amenities include central heating and air conditioning, gas barbeque grill, cable TV, DVD, stereo system with wall-mounted speakers, and wi-fi internet. The house is family friendly, complete with a pack and play, swimmer diapers, and plenty of toys. Beach chairs, towels, umbrellas, cooler, boogie boards, and a soft-top surfboard are at your disposal. For child safety, a 4 feet-high fence and self-closing, locking gate has been installed around the pool. Potty-trained pets are also welcome.
The laundry room and pool are shared with our tenant in the studio apartment at the front of the property. The apartment has a separate entrance from the main house and is separated by the laundry room and deadbolt doors.
If you want to venture out of town, Dana Point Harbor and Laguna Beach are just up the coast. Disneyland, Knott’s Berry Farm, Lego Land, and Sea World are within an hour or less, and Hollywood and downtown San Diego are just a bit further. If you do not feel like driving, you can ride the train, which stops at the pier and many other places up and down the coast.
