  • Serenity in the center of Paris

"Three of us stayed for nearly 1 week in this charming, calm, well-appointed (in a shabby-chic kind of way), and very centrally located flat one block from Beaubourg/Centre Pompidou and 2-3 blocks from Chatelet/Les Halles (convenient for metros and the RER (to and from Roissy/Charles de Gaulle airport)). It’s also easy to walk to Ile St. Louis, Ile de la Cite, the Left Bank, and the Louvre. There are a couple of really cute restaurants on the same block as the flat. And a boulangerie at the corner for your daily baguette or croissants. It is just one flight of stairs up from street level and very secure. From the outset, the communications with the agents/owners, and the handling of the lease and payment process were smooth, open, and easy-to-follow. The agents/owners were attentive to our questions and concerns. And they were full of helpful information and clear instructions. Their agent e-mailed me about a week in advance. We arranged to meet on the day I arrived in Paris at an appointed hour. My flight arrived late, so I just e-mailed and phoned the agent to let her know I was running late, and she was very flexible. On arrival at the flat, she showed me everything, where to find things (including the ironing board and even the supermarket (just around the corner!)), how things in the flat work (like the washing machine), etc. And she made herself available in case I had any questions. There’s also a binder in the flat and notes posted here and there that instruct you on the use of things. While the flat suffers from a scarcity of natural light on the main floor, it has a calm, peaceful, serene feel. The ceiling joists are amazing as is the exposed stone wall. It gives the place such an antique feel, like you are living in another century. There are all the conveniences you could need (even a blow dryer in one of the bathrooms). And the place is tastefully and comfortably furnished. It has a shabby chic aspect, but that just enhances its charm. The one thing I wasn’t expecting was the “whoosh/boom” noise on occasion from the heating system. That can take you by surprise. It usually was gentle, but on occasion it was pretty noisy. At nights, on the weekends, it can get a bit noisy in the two front bedrooms (the back bedroom is fine). So bring your ear plugs – that’s life in the big city! Overall, I would highly recommend this flat! And I hope to be able to stay there again in a future visit to Paris! -- Scott S."

  • Gorgeous and Quiet!

"My husband and I stayed in this elegant and perfectly fitted out apartment in March. Elegant decor with everything one could need. The view out the three big windows overlooking Place Dauphin amazing. Morning sun shines in the windows. The towel bar in the bathroom kept the towels and robes toasty warm on cool Paris days. Location: right in the middle of everything but absolutely quiet. Mia was extremely helpful. This apartment was the basis for seeing beautiful Paris. Am afraid to write such a good review as this apartment will be harder to rent again! Thank you, Mia for a lovely place. Very small elevator to 5th floor, which worked very well."

  • Great!

"We have stayed at rue Laromiguiere three times and plan to return as often as we can. The top floor apartment is filled with light from the many windows in the living room, kitchen and den, with charming views of Paris rooftops. The furnishings are stylish and very comfortable, with interesting art and decorative accessories. Bed and bath linens are lovely. The photos accurately reflect the ambiance of the apartment. It is perfect for two people with the added bonus of a comfortable sofabed in the den for quests. The kitchen is well-appointed and stocked with very nice china and glassware. Both the dishwasher and washer/dryer are added benefits. It has vases that I fill with flowers from the market. The location is very convenient--walking distance to the Luxembourg Gardens, Pantheon, Cluny, Rue Moffatard, and three metro stops, not to mention terrific restaurants, including Terroir Parisian and Les Papilles. We have stayed at two other apartments offered by Parisianflats-Rue Gay Lussac and Rue Casimir, both of which are also terrific and highly recommended. Sophie and Philippe are wonderful hosts and very pleasant to work with--and quick to resolve any issues that might arise. Those looking for a Paris experience in interesting neighborhoods can do no better than booking an apartment through Parisianflats."

  • Convenient location and comfortable room

"My wife and I stayed at this room during our stay in Paris and was very satisfied with the room. The room had some character with wood beams and good amount of light. It felt like we were in Paris. All the amenities were easy to use and had no issues. Being in the heart of Latin Quarter with Rue Mouffetard one block away, we were walking distance to many great restaurants as well as local patisserie, butchery, cheese shops, grocery, and wine shops. Many of the restaurants are tourist friendly and some spoke English and the people are very friendly. It's great to shop at these local stores to cook and drink wine at the room. The location is also close to two metro stations to travel to many locations. The RER station is a little bit of a walk if you're coming from the airport with luggage to the apartment, but still a convenient location if you need to use the RER line. Tea was very quick to respond and was patient with the questions I had and the billing process. Very happy we chose this place and will use it again when we visit Paris."
