"We stayed at our host's home for four nights during our first visit to Iceland. The cottage is even better than described and pictured; the bed provides a great sleep, the house is laid out beautifully (artwork is wonderful!), and the owner is kind enough to leave all you might need for your stay- paper towels, clear instructions for trash and tv, extra towels, etc.
I can't convey how ideal the location is. The cottage is a stone's throw away from a great coffe shop/cafe, a square with quick food and nicer restaurants, and the wharf. Reykjavik is easily walkable, and the cottage puts you in the best possible starting location for exploration. There is space for rental car parking, and the home feels like home- it is in the oldest part of Reykjavik and provides a modern feel while also allowing you to stay in a true neighborhood and a house with personality and history.
Our host could not have been more wonderful to work with as we planned our trip. She provided helpful info and was always speedy with her communication. She set us up for a great experience, and we had one! Many thanks."

"I stayed in this lovely, artistic apartment with my friend and three teenage boys. We were able to park our car in a convenient location, and found it invaluable if you like to avoid bus tours. Restaurants, the grey line, the harbor, and park (with lively bands) were all within easy walking distance. Burkni was a wonderful host and was generous with his time and information. Not liking lamb or fish, I fully expected to lose weight in Iceland. Wrong! The restaurants were wonderful! I better hit the gym hard before making my next trip!"

"Our family of four, with two teens, spent four wonderful nights at this property. The home is situated in a quiet town away from the tour buses and summer crowds. The location is perfect for exploring the southern part of Iceland. The major attractions of the Golden Circle, Vik, and Reykjavik are all just about an hour away so you can use this home as a great base of operations. The grocery store is only a 15 min drive so cooking at home was easy.
When we arrived, we were met by Kristin's sister and brother-in-law. They were both so very nice and went out of their way to give us an overview of the property and give us suggestions about things to do for day trips. They even helped us with logistics as we wanted to attend a local football match in Reykjavik one night. The home also has several binders of information and maps to help you plan the perfect stay.
The property itself was excellent. It was spacious and clean and we felt that the pictures on the website accurately reflect the property. The kitchen had everything we needed and even had some staples like coffee, sugar, spices, etc. that we could use. We usually cooked dinners on the grill with the beautiful views of the ocean and volcanoes in the distance.
Our family has fond memories of our time here and we highly recommend this property to anyone visiting Iceland."
