  • Comfortable, well located, and very flexible lodging for Southern Utah visit

"My sister and I needed a place at the last minute to take our teenaged daughters to the Shakespeare Festival before it closed for the season and my husband found this townhome for us. What luck! It was a very clean, comfortable duplex located just a few blocks from campus and we were able to cook all our meals, saving us a bundle. It has a great, flexible layout with two bedrooms with attached bathrooms upstairs and another bedroom with a hallway bathroom downstairs, plus another whole suite of rooms including a kitchen in the basement if you need more room. The owners were really easy to deal with and we will definitely rent this place again-- thanks, Rich and Carolyn!"

  • A sweet and charming home

"The Homeplace fit us perfectly! There was plenty of room for 7. The kids and the grandkids loved the pond and enjoyed daily canoe rides! Although the fish in the pond were too tiny to catch, the kids just had a blast fishing. The vegetable garden in the back wasnt quite what I expected since there was nothing there to harvest. The fruit on the apple trees weren't ready to pick either but it was still nice to know it's available if you book during harvest seasin. The property was great! We watched the neighbors herd in their cows which is a rare sight for us to see since we're from Vegas! We will definitely consider staying here again."

  • Second time back!

"Last time we brought the family, this time it was just the two of us. What an amazingly peaceful place. The house was just as clean and beautiful as it was five years ago. We ourselves are now looking to buy in the area. We traveled to Duck Creek and all the surrounding areas. The first thing we discovered is that there is not that many true" log" homes. Most are stick frame with siding. Second, Orderville, is at the perfect elevation. You have accessibility year long to the area. You get enough winter snow to enjoy the novelty of it, but not so much you get "cabin fever!" The days are warm but the nights cool off. The off the beaten path factor of this log home is the real gem, there is a grand total of six log homes scattered in the area, Duck Creek was literally a buzz with dozens of ATV's kicking up dust, my husband actually said it looked like a ATV drag strip! and most of the homes are built right upon each other, the week we spent at the log home, there were three ATV's in the area. We have no issue with ATV's, we have them, but when you have so many people using them in one area you never get a way from them. The proximity to Zion, Bryce, North Rim of the Grand Canyon and Coral Pink Sand Dunes can't be beat. It didn't take us long to realize that what we were looking for was exactly what we were staying in! Yes, we're building in Quarter Circle H Ranch! You honestly can't wrong with this log home. It has enough room for a large family or a couple of families to share. The home has everything you need to be comfortable during your stay. The kitchen is well equipped for any cooking project, cookie sheets, large roaster for turkey, serving platters etc. we happened upon a French waffle maker this visit. The kitchen has more then enough room for several cooks as well as an eating bar with stools for cook time conversation. With the bunk room and large screen TV being down stairs for the children, along with a bar and table sitting for the adults if they choose, it leaves two other levels to enjoy, like sitting outside at night on the deck and enjoying the night sky filled with more stars than you can imagine. We also discovered a new German bakery/eatery on the outskirts of town going North. John and Tammy are very friendly and accommodating. This property is really the perfect home base for your Utah get away!"
