Almyrida Villas team, also has the large Apartment Stella and the beautiful Villa Iannis for rent, has a touch of the Greek island structure, spacious covered living areas, large outdoor gardens with a private swimming pool that is ideal for every family with young children or friends trying to enjoy from a nice vacation.

Upon entering the villas you will find a spacious living room, a fully equipped kitchen with a dining area, a bedroom with two single beds and a toilet. On the second floor you will find two more bedrooms, a large suite and a bedroom with a further four guests and a shared bathroom.

All rooms in the Villas are air-conditioned and the Villa is equipped with Smart Internet TV, free wifi, washing machine, bed linen, towels, amenities. Heated water is available via solar and electrical energy.

The outdoor area is very spacious, including a beautifully situated swimming pool, outdoor furniture, an outdoor BBQ facility and everything that makes your stay in our villas perfect. One can explore and relax around the mature gardens with many different trees and fruit trees.

The villa is in a lovely quiet location but close to the bars and restaurants and of course the beach. House was lovely and welcoming and had a welcome hamper with amazing olive oil that is produced by the olive trees in the garden. We had a very relaxing holiday but also had the chance to explore some of the island.

Gorgeous villa in a fantastic location. The pool is amazing - big enough for all 5 adults at the same time.The host, Jan, came to introduce himself and was warm, friendly and extremely helpful with information about the local area.We had a fantastic 10 days and would definitely return. Highly recommended

Our 2nd time at this lovely Villa! Spacious accommodation, with spectacular views on the balconies. Walking distance to the beach and great restaurants and bars. Can highly recommend.

Lovely property a short walk from all the amenities and beach. Great pool bigger than it appears in the photos and a large patio area around the pool lots of shaded areas and sun loungers. The house was well equipped, spacious and had good air conditioning. The only criticism we would have is the bathroom and shower. The plug hole of the only bath/shower was blocked and didn’t drain properly also the water pressure was poor and uneven, stopping and starting as you showered even though the taps outside had great pressure. Overall the stay was lovely.

Great villa and area.

Lovely Villa in fantastic location within 5 minutes walk of Almyrida. First time to Almyrida and would definitely come back. Abundance of good quality restaurants along the waterfront and the beach is great with very safe bathing. Villa is well equipped and has lovely private pool area and several balconies and terraces with mountain views. Hosts were very helpful and friendly. Highly recommended.

Fantastic stay at Villa Varvara

We have just returned from a wonderful 10 night stay at Villa Varvara. We are a regular visitor to this area but have never stayed here before. The Villa is in a perfect location, 5min walk to the beach and lovely restaurants, perfect when you have little ones who get tired easily! We love the beach but also spent many a day relaxing around the fantastic private pool. The owners were very welcoming and we really can’t wait to return!

A beautiful villa that just needs some TLC

The villa is in a lovely location within easy walking distance of shops, restaurants and beaches, only let down by the deafening flying crickets that surround it. The pool is a good size for a private villa and a uniform 1m deep. The villa is only let down by desperate need of some basic repairs. The one shower isn’t fit for purpose and is barely worth using; The bathroom sink plug doesn’t work, so shaving is challenging; the sofa is collapsed in the middle and unusable; our bedroom shutter wouldn’t close, so the room was bright from dawn. If a little money was spent, this villa could amazing.

A happy holiday!😁

Villa Varvara was lovely. Beautiful setting, gardens and pool area. The house is spacious, well equipped and there are so many balconies to enjoy every view around the villa. My .grandson (9) absolutely loved the pool and it was so good that it was all one depth, it made it so much safer.Almyrida is definite place to come back to. Beautiful beach, good choice of restaurants, but not too big! What else can I say? A brilliant holiday , lovely location, and well looked after.

Lovely holiday

Thank you. We stayed just a week but wish we had stayed longer. We had a lovely time, and the villa is in a great location, providing peace & quiet and only being 5 mins walk from the beach. If anything, the property description undersells the villa. The outdoor space is great for anytime of the day and the many balconies excellent for retreating to in the evenings with wonderful views of the mountains, which was an added bonus. The location is also only 15 mins walk from Plaka with all of its great places to eat. The host, Jan was very responsive in keeping us up to date with many recommendations. Thank you for giving us a lovely holiday.

Adult holiday week in Almyrida, Villa Varvara

We visited Villa Varvara for a week and had absolutely great time touring the West side of the island and also some Mountain routes by car to East, based on our hosts’ reccommodations. They were unfortunately not able to greet us but as well them and other people responsible for the villa were so helpful and nice ❤️. We can recommend the villa for both; holiday with kids or without. If something we would Wish, would be the mattress toppers for beds 😊. Otherwise all was super 💎 Thank you!

Beautiful Villa, Great location!

Just home after 13 nights at the beautiful Villa Varvara. So much outside space and of course the pool. Surrounded by Olive trees, lemon trees, herbs, plants and flowers. Villa is in a fantastic location just outside the village of Almyrida. It truly is a 5 minute walk to the beach, restaurants, shops and water activities. Definitely do not need a car. Almyrida taxis are reliable and clean for airport transfers or a supermarket trip. Jan is a real treasure of a host and was thankfully forgiving of our clumsy teenager 😆 Would definitely recommend a stay!

Great villa

Wonderful villa, by far the best equipped villa we have ever had. The pool area was also well equipped with plenty of loungers and tables and chairs. Very convenient position as only a 5 minute walk to the bakery, shops and restaurants. The beach is sandy - ideal for the granddaughter who was 20 months old. The cot and high chair were excellent as well. We didn’t hire a car but the taxi service in the village is good. Overall I’d recommend this villa to anyone other than those with mobility problems as there are steps from the garden up to the pool area and more steps into the house.

Our stay at Villa Vavara was a truly enjoyable experience. The villa is lovely, blending modern comfort with a cozy, welcoming feel. The rooms were spacious, clean, and well-decorated, offering lovely views of the surrounding area. The outdoor space was a highlight for us. The private pool was a great place to relax, surrounded by lush greenery that provided a peaceful atmosphere. We spent a lot of time there, soaking up the calm and quiet that the villa offers. The location was also very convenient, giving us a sense of seclusion while still being close to local attractions and restaurants. It was easy to explore during the day and come back to the villa for some rest in the evenings. Villa Vavara is a wonderful place for a relaxing getaway. Whether you're looking for a quiet retreat or a comfortable base for exploring the area, this villa has a lot to offer. We had a great time and would definitely consider returning in the future.

Wow!! Where do I start? It’s actually much better than the description and the pictures do justice,it truly is a magnificent villa within a 5 minute walk of some of the finest restaurants I have ever eaten at,and the beaches are superb ( especially the little beach at the top of the village by the Tsunami cafe,at that beach is also fantastic for snorkelling.Lovely friendly locals and Jan our host is one of the nicest people we have ever met,the perfect host and was easily contactable when we had a small problem. Lovely Villa, Great Location

Sept. 2023 Thank you Jan and Dimitra; also Kaiti and the team. We had an excellent stay. The first time having our own villa and pool, what a treat! The villa was beautifully decorated, spacious and very clean, with all the amenities. There was plenty of space outside for sunbathing around the lovely pool and also garden areas where we picked limes off the trees for our G & Ts. The area was private but only 5 minutes from a great choice of restaurants with the best food and a lovely beach area. All this was handy for us as we did not want to hire a car. We booked a taxi for a trip to Chania which was a lovely day out but there is also a bus service available. It was lovely to meet you Jan - what a great guy. Jane and Mark xx

STAY AT VILLA VARVARA

Our 2nd stop on this trip to Greece, was Almyrida at Villa Varvara. Outstanding clean private local and accessible. We found it to be a great base for exploring the west side of Crete. the local shops and eateries near the property were just what we wanted small local excellent fare. Walking distance down to beach chairs and the ocean.The views from ALL the balconies of the property are breathtaking. We tried to spend a night on each one and found the back balcony looking at the mountains to be our favorite. Excellent bedding and water pressure for baths and shower. PRIVATE!! we loved the kitties that came to visit. GREAT communication and direction from the Hosts. FULL KITCHEN made some dinners at home was great. The pool had ample chairs and outside amenities. We recommend that you choose a car that is small to mid compact in order to park on the private driveway. We rec host describe this in listing if you came in a jeep it would not work.Easy access with getting into the property. We would rebook here. We were only two in the house so one full bath worked out. The 2nd 1/2 bath is not he first floor and makes for good access. Come to Alymrida and stay at Villa Varvara.

Like paradise

Super house, super garden mit Pool- what do you need more for making holidays? The villa fulfilled the description up to 100 %. Surrounded by olive trees we heard sometimes sheep bells and we enjoyed the extraordinary view from the different balconies. Because of the pool, bigger than expected, our children did not want to leave the property, only for eating ice-cream.😀. Jan & Dimitra supported very helpful our special wishes concerning the logistics of hiking in Crete. It could not be better. We would love to come back.
