Great Location, Better House

  • 5 of 5

This house has some of the best views of Moosehead Lake! It's remote location and direct access to the lake made our stay even more enjoyable. The cabin however, did not have running water and spotty electricity but Phil was extremely responsive and made it right! I cannot say enough good things about our stay and we all cant wait to come back next year!

Thanks Phil for an amazing trip. See you next year!

Warm Regards,

Erik

Owner's Response: Thanks for the feedback and review Eric. Even with frozen water lines being worked on and couple issues with power system it's good to see a 5 star experience! We look forward to seeing you guys next year!

Great secluded cabin on Moosehead Lake

  • 5 of 5

Our family really loved our stay at Eagle Point Lodge. The privacy of the lot was amazing and the house was just what we were looking for. The boys took a fishing trip with Phil and had a great time and brought back lots of fish for dinner. We would definitely come back again!

Great property and great view

  • 3 of 5

The property and view of this place is awesome. We could not have asked for a better place to stay for our trip. Phil was attentive to our needs and assisted with most everything we asked of him. The only complaint was that we were a large group of guys who brought mostly meals(meats) to grill on the gas grill. We agreed to lend our propane tank to the neighbors for an evening and thought we would get another tank or the same one back. Minor inconvenience, will definitely be returning, the remoteness, location, and amenities are amazing for those that know what the northern Maine woods is like.

Great place!

  • 5 of 5

Had a great stay here. Something not mentioned is that the whole property runs on it's own solar array & gas generator so regardless of if power is out in the area this cabin will have power. The appliances are also all gas. Heat is a wood stove that you just have to keep running with the wood supplied in the shed. From the pictures I thought it was only 3 bedrooms but there are actually 4. R1: Master & Twin, R2: 2 Adult sized Bunk Beds, R3 & R4: 1 Adult sized Bunk Bed each for a total of 10 beds and 2 couches. The owner will rent out all sorts of toys such as an Ice Auger and Snowmobiles for an additional fee. You can gas them up 10 minutes down the lake at the Birches. It was nice to have those already at the cabin when we arrived so we didn't have to trailer up a sled or gear from another rental place down the narrow dirt back roads to get to the cabin. In the winter I wouldn't try coming down the roads without AWD or 4WD. We came up in a snowstorm and were driving through 3-4 inches of snow with our trucks as the roads hadn't been plowed for at least a few hours. Google Maps on my phone worked but my car's built-in Nav wanted to take a crazy long way post Rockwood to get there so careful of that. Load the maps ahead of time as post Greenville Verizon service is spotty though once we got there the Cabin's WiFi helped with that. It's satellite internet so don't expect blazing speeds but during clear weather it would stream Netflix with the supplied Roku. Ice fishing is great, you can't fish directly where the property meets the water as that's a fish sanctuary, but just past the first eastern point is fine. There is a trail leading down there from the cabin that's a 5-10 minute walk. There is a dishwasher so make sure to buy some dish soap and a sponge for manually washing. Place was very clean. Overall awesome stay and I would certainly return.

Fantastic time with the family at camp 50!

  • 5 of 5

Once again Eagle Point Lodge did not disappoint. We had an awesome time enjoying the snow, the lake, and the superb accommodations. Cannot recommend camp 50 enough! Phil is a great host and everything was perfect. If you are looking for a remote setting with fabulous accommodations then do not hesitate to book here. Whether you're looking to enjoy the fantastic fishing or just relax and reconnect with the family family this place delivers!
