Situé au sommet du terrain, ce gîte indépendant de luxe, construit en pierre et offrant une vue spectaculaire sur la campagne environnante du Lancashire, est idéal pour les petits groupes ou les familles élargies.

Mole End est un cottage de luxe 5 étoiles situé dans le Lancashire et doté d'un chauffage au sol et d'un poêle Aga. Un grand salon / salle à manger décloisonné, intégrant une cuisine de designer bien équipée de Mark Wilkinson, permettra aux clients de profiter de la compagnie de chacun tout en préparant le dîner avec style!
Le chalet dispose d'un grand salon / salle à manger décloisonné avec une cuisine de designer bien équipée de Mark Wilkinson et une table à manger familiale. Le chalet est équipé à un niveau très élevé, fini avec des sols en carrelage italien, de beaux tapis, des meubles et des décorations - un chalet idéal pour les familles et les amis à partager.

Il y a aussi un vestiaire / buanderie séparé avec lavabo, toilettes, lave-linge et sèche-linge. La télévision Sky est fournie.

CHAMBRES ET SALLES DE BAINS

Il y a trois chambres spacieuses, deux situées au rez-de-chaussée et une au premier étage.

La première chambre au rez-de-chaussée est une chambre double avec une salle de bain attenante et une douche avec un grand lavabo avec accès pour fauteuil roulant et un grand miroir éclairé. La zone de douche de la pièce humide comprend des sièges et une barre d'appui rabattable pour les invités moins expérimentés, ainsi que des barres d'appui stylées stratégiquement placées autour des toilettes et de la baignoire. La seconde est une chambre familiale avec un lit double et un lit simple, et une grande salle de bains avec une zone de douche de type chambre humide.

Un escalier depuis le salon mène à une chambre à lits jumeaux supplémentaire au premier étage qui est lumineuse et spacieuse. Il y a aussi une salle de bain avec baignoire, lavabo et toilettes.

JARDIN

L'espace extérieur est fourni par un jardin arrière privé, avec mobilier de jardin et vue sur la forêt.

Amazing properties in beautiful surroundings

We have just returned from our third stay at Barnacre cottages, and always love staying here. The accommodation is excellent and always very clean, and there’s plenty of green space for the kids to play. We always enjoy relaxing by the fire pit area in the evenings, and the location in the Lancashire countryside is perfect.

Excellent for Disabilities

This was r 3rd stay @ barnacre cottages. Staff were very friendly & helpful from bookin till the end of the holiday . We stayed in mole end cottage very comfortable & disabled friendly. Can't wait to book the next 1.

What A Weekend

7 of us stayed in mole end for my hen weekend. We had an amazing time, we did get a little lost trying to find the place so be careful when driving but once we got there my my my, it was beautiful, the cottage was well supplied, clean, warm and was extremely accessible for myself as a full time wheelchair user.

A great cottage and properly accessible

We chose this cottage primarily because it is accessible. Two of the three of us who stayed there are disabled. We were very pleased with the design, fixtures and fittings. The cottage itself is ideal and the location is excellent. The settees were a bit too low for people with limited mobility, but it isn't a major issue. Another minor matter is the track up to the cottage which could do with some evening out and repair. On the other hand, everything else was great including the beds and the bathrooms. Would we go there again? Yes and without any hesitation

Fantastic Family Break

From start to finish our stay at Mole End, Barnacre Cottages was simply wonderful. With an 18 month old and 4 month old it was our first holiday away as a family and to begin with I was apprehensive. But our every need was met and more, the cottage was a perfect fit for our family with lots of space for playing and easy cleaning, children beds and plates/cutlery provided. It was like home from home. I could not recommend them highly enough and will definitely be making a return visit.

A wonderful sanctuary !

We had to find somewhere to stay to tick so many boxes…… so accommodating very new twins, just a few months old, with the double buggy that needs extra wide doors and ramps rather than flights of steps. Downstairs bedrooms for easy access. Plus x3 couples and x6 dogs, x4 that slept outside. An enclosed garden. All required prior to a family wedding that ran over 5 days. AND heavens you were so kind and everything was so easy to manage. The kitchen (indeed everything) was spotless with a great standard of equipment plus Miele washing machine in the utility !!! THANK YOU for being so kind and tolerant of pre wedding madness and giving us a place of peace at the end of each and every day. We will visit again but just us as an elderly quiet couple ( with no add ons! ) ……. With love Jane

Family birthday celebrations

We're just back from another fabulous stay at Barnacre Cottages. We stay in a Mole End Cottage. It's a great spacious cottage and perfectly equipped for someone with accessibility needs. Ground floor bedrooms, wet room and lots of well placed rails and bars to support mobility. The cottage are very well equipped with lots of kitchen utensils, crockery etc, no need to bring anything. The family team at the cottage are always available to address your needs and resolve any issues, although we didn't have any at all. I must also recommend the view. You can see all the way to Blackpool on a clear day and the tower looks fabulous at night. We'll be back again and is highly recommend to anyone, especially if you have accessibility needs.

Family celebration

I booked 4 of the 5 cottages at Barnacre for my family. Mole End was perfect for a member of our family with a disability. Comfortable, beautiful views in a quiet location. It has a really special feel to it, everything from the fitted kitchen, the beautiful warm Aga, to the comfortable sofas was absolutely perfect. Cleanliness and decor of the highest quality. I have stayed in many places and very few match the quality of Mole End. Host Beth couldn’t be more helpful or quick to respond to my questions. This was are 2nd time staying @ mole end cottage excellent for disabled holidays really comfortable & clean. We found having the washing machine & tumble dryer really helpful . Would highly recommend this cottage

Just perfect!

What an amazing place, it came highly recommended and certainly didn't disappoint. Plenty of places for the children to run around - the tennis court even got a look in. So many books - bedtime stories were easy and the war books kept the fellahs entertained! Never cooked on an Aga before but it was easy enough and would imagine in winter it will keep the lounge cosy and warm too! Wouldn't hesitate to recommend-thank you!

Lovely Break

We booked for a couple of nights and it was brilliant. Advice and flexibility on arrival and departure was great given there had been a change in my family situation ahead of the trip. The disability friendly facilitie were great and the views of the coastline were very soothing from the front of the cottage. Kids loved it and fire pits were throughly enjoyed. It’s probably the best domestic short cottage break we have been on in the last 10 years. We “warmed” to the amazing AGA oven too once we knew how to work it! It really did feel like a home from home. Would recommend as location allowed us to trek into Lancaster and enjoy this lively city and it’s history. Very convenient located to travel to different parts of the county within 30/45 mins drive. If there is a next time - would probably want to stay a week

Lovely relaxing break

Mole End is spacious, comfortable and clean. It has everything you need for a relaxing break and is very well resourced with kitchen essentials. The layout was perfect for my elderly parents as they did not have to climb any stairs and the wet room shower was very welcomed too. An added bonus was a visit from the owner on our second evening- armed with a delicious home baked cake! The cottage is an excellent base for exploring the local area; we enjoyed lots of lovely walks with the dog - visits to Scorton and The Apple Store are a must for refreshments!

We love being here

We have been lucky, we have stayed in Mole End twice a year, for the last few years. Nothing is too much trouble to the family that own the property. One room has a beautiful bathroom with grab bars everywhere necessary for an elderly or disabled person. The cottage sleeps 7 but the 2 of us just use the ground floor.and a wheelchair can move around very easily.We love it.

Amazing and accessible retreat

We had an amazing stay at Barnacre Cottages. We needed an accessible cottage and got just that. Mole End has been adapted downstairs with 2 wet rooms, accessible throughout and very well equipped. Terry kindly brought the tramper for us, how've we found ourselves too busy to get out on it. The cottage was clean, well equipped, spacious with super views as far as Blackpool. On arrival, there was a delicious, home made Victoria sponge cake which made for a welcome treat. We would highly recommend and look forward to returning soon. Thank you Sue, Terry and family

Family get together

Our family were coming together after a long hard time with covid. The cottage was ideal and well situated for all to get to we were also able to take the dog. This area was great for both country walks and walks by the sea. The location was great. The cottage had everything you could wish for including an aga. I definitely would come again when meeting up with all the family

Wonderful peaceful location with friendly and welcoming hosts.

We really enjoyed staying at Barnacre Cottages - situated in beautiful countryside with views out to sea. Mole End was perfect for our stay and the hosts were friendly and welcoming. The Victoria sponge and welcome basket we were given were a real treat - fabulous sponge! We loved the open space outside the cottage, the amazing view and enjoyed sitting around the fire pit in the evening. Definitely will consider another visit at some point. Thank you

The best holiday cottages for disabled

Mole End cottage was excellent for me and the disabled access was perfect. The rooms were good spacious and comfortable. Views to die for. Peaceful areas I enjoyed the stay with my family.
