This was hands down the most frustrating and poorly handled rental I’ve ever booked. The key pickup process was a nightmare: instead of meeting the host or collecting on-site, I had to travel to a completely separate third-party location to retrieve a confusing set of six keys and a key fob—with zero explanation of what any of them were for or how to access the property.When I finally arrived, none of the keys granted access to the actual building. I ended up having to sneak in behind a resident, which felt uncomfortable and unsafe. Once inside, only one key was required for the apartment door.The apartment itself was sweltering hot, with no working ventilation, and somehow hotter than both the hallway and the temperature outside. The kitchen sink had an unsecured board, clearly not properly installed. Worst of all, the shower was either ice cold or scalding hot—with no way to control the temperature. Completely unusable.I contacted the host immediately but received no real help, only vague and unhelpful messages (very responsive though), even as I tried to resolve the issue late into the night. Eventually, around midnight, with still no access instructions or practical support from the host, I had no choice but to book a hotel out of pocket. I will say they at least refunded me my money the next morning which is why I left 2 stars and not 1.
