Hello everyone! I introduce myself, my name is Lorenzo. I wait for you in my delightful house situated in Rione Monti [Monti Quarter], right in the heart of the ancient Rome.
The flat is on a third floor in a historic building from the XIX century in Colosseum street n°23/a and, just outside the main entrance, you can admire, right in front of you, a beautiful sight over the Colosseum, the Arch of Costantine and - last but not least - the Imperial Forums. If you're not too amazed from the view to cross the threshold, you'll find inside a living room communicating with the kitchen, equipped with everything you need to prepare breakfast, lunch and dinner and a comfortable table with chairs to eat in tranquillity.
The flat is fully furnished and with all comforts:
- air conditioning;
- wifi internet;
- washing machine;
-toaster, boiler, crockery, cutlery, pots, cups, glasses;
- dvd player;
The flat has 3 bedrooms…:
- 1 bedroom with double bed for 2 persons;
- 1 bedroom with 2 single beds for 2 persons;
- 1 bedroom with sofa bed for 2 persons.
… and 2 baths:
- the master one complete with all the necessary equipment, a shower and a hairdryer;
- the second one smaller but with smart fittings.
Colosseum street is a very quiet street and it is well connected to the rest of the city, indeed you can find the Colosseum stop of the metro (Line B) at a 50 m distance and lots of bus stops.
I wait for you to let you have a very good taste of true “Romanity” for your enjoyable holiday here in the Capital!
If you have any special request just ask and I'll try to please you!
The property is close to the Colosseum, Forums, and Palanteno. It is also located near public transportation, shopping and restaurants. It was clean, comfortable and quiet. We will stay again the next time we are in Rome!
The location of this apartment is amazing just four minutes from the Forum, the coliseum about two minutes. Very nice apartment with everything you need. Thoroughly recommended - we will stay here next time we visit. Also some great restaurants nearby - amazing Pizza in 'alle Carrette' and great atmosphere too.
Thank you Lorenzo! My family, it was 6 of us, had a great time there !!! Locations is great!!! Everything is so close!!! Everything what you need , you will find around the home: subway, bus station , grocery store, great restarants. It was so comfortable for my parents , who is 77 years old , because the house has an elevator. Security system is great !!!! Even you are in a center of Rome , you feel so secure! Clean, beautiful home!!!! Thank you Lorenzo!!! We will defiantly return soon!!!
I own a rental home in the states so am always thankful when I arrive at a rental and it is EXACTLY what i expect and is listed. We rented this home for my sons college graduation gift for our family and his girlfriend (who became his fiance on this trip) So having the third bedroom was a MUST. The apartment was clean, comfortable and very well equipped. This is our third stay in Rome and this location was not only the best for all attractions but definitely the most SECURE. Having a gated entrance along with many more security doors left us feeling the most secure we have ever felt (including hotels). Ms Raquel met us upon arrival and answered any and all questions that we had along with pointing out many things that had been left for our convenience (coffee, sugar and necessities in the kitchen along with laundry detergent and a good supply of paper goods needed). She followed up with us via text(Whats app) to make sure we were comfortable during our stay and if we needed anything. If you are looking for a wonderful location, responsive host, excellent communication before your stay, and a property exactly as listed you have found it.
We stayed here for nearly a month, May 27th to June 25th, 2015, and had a wonderful time. Mr. Orsi was very responsive to our concerns (the AC quit but he had it going again in a few days, over a weekend). Ms. Jampol, the apt. cleaner, was there when we arrived and told us all we needed to know about the apt. She speaks pretty good English and answered all our questions. We loved the location and spent nearly every evening strolling around the Colosseum and nearby streets. Good eating places are close, as are tabacchis and bread/pizza stores. (Avoid Angelinos ai Fori. It is rated high, but we found meals more expensive and less palatable than at other ristorante close by.) A good market, Super Elite, is a five minute walk, and smaller markets are even closer. The Metro stop just out the door was very convenient, as we are in our sixties and cannot walk as far or as fast as our younger companions did. We have no complaints and would gladly stay at this location again, maybe just not at the peak of tourist season.
As another reviewer has said, this property has a wonderful location...right by the Colosseum and by the Metro station.
The property has an elevator, but only two people and two bags can fit at one time...the walk to the apartment is not difficult, unless you are carrying large bags.
Once in the property, there is a sitting area, a small, but very friendly kitchen, two adequately sized bedrooms, a full bathroom with a shower (the shower is extremely small...anyone over 6 feet tall will find it a challenge to shower) and a half bath...no shower. In the half bath there is a washing machine...but no dryer...you can hang up your laundry and it should dry within 24 hours.
The apartment was clean and as advertised. Lorenzo was a good host and met us at the apartment and explained everything we needed to know about the apartment.
Again, you cannot beat the location.
The Rione Monti is one of the most ancient quarters in Rome. Here you are fascinated from the many archeological sites existent and you can try the unique feeling of being in the real ancient Rome, just like it was once. The Colosseum, the Arch of Costantine and the Imperial Forums, indeed, will surely capture your admiration, but, not so far from the Colle Palatino [the Palatin, one of the 7 Roman hills], at a 100 m distance from the house, there is the Domus Aurea, ancient residence of the Emperor Nero, that is equally worth visiting. Along the Imperial Forums, finally, you can also find out the Mercato Traianeo [Trajan’s Market], the Foro di Cesare [Forum of Caesar] and, at the end of the street, Piazza Venezia.
