About Sue Booth
We are Sue & Jeremy and we live in Oxfordshire. We enjoy travelling and being outdoors, especially walking in the mountains with our spaniel. We have 3 grown up children who are excited to be able to spend their holidays in France in such a great location.
Sue Booth purchased this Apartment in 2019
Why Sue Booth chose Aillon-le-Jerune
We wanted to be able to ski in winter, but not to be in a big resort which tend to be very sad out of season. Just as important were the activities on offer for the rest of the year, the proximity to lakes for swimming and fishing opportunities as well as fantastic mountain walking and spectacular views. Aillon le Jeune is a small traditional farming village which just happens to have great skiing too. We like that there are many people who live here all year as well as others, mainly French from Lyon, who have holiday homes here too. We have been so fortunate to have found such lovely neighbours and friends here.
What makes this Apartment unique
Wonderful walks from the door, traditional farm shop in the village selling, amongst other produce, local Tome de Bauges cheese made from the pretty brown cows which graze the surrounding meadows clanging their bells as they move. Family friendly skiing, very reasonable lift pass rates. Plenty of summer activities, an active and helpful tourist office. A hidden gem in the French Alps, yet close to Annecy, Aix les Bains and Chambery.
