Come to Highforest Dome to Make Memories, Explore our Endless Beaches, Conquer the Challenges of Hiking, Biking, Kayaking, Boating, Swimming, Boating, Finding Peace, and Whales…
Highforest Dome is found on Whidbey Island, north of Seattle, Washington. Take a short 20 minute idyllic ferry ride, with fantastic views of mountains and islands, then drive 20 minutes up into the Highforest, to find your dreams.
With windows and skylights everywhere you look, we bring in the sky, streams of light, and the Highforest. We have great air conditioning, however, it is a rare thing to need it here in the Northwest. There's nothing like this experience!
Waking up in a dome full of light, is a wonder in itself. As you step outside at night, far away from the city lights, you’ll see a sky full of stars and moonlight, and you can listen for the night forest sounds.
You’ll want to dream away some time, exploring the minutia of the woods around the domes, sure not to miss the "tall and tiny" details. You may get to pick huckleberries right out in the front yard. Then, take time to “Discover Whidbey Island” even more.
Take Time Together as family and friends in this wonder filled place. There are two lakes within a mile for swimming, boating and fishing. These two lakes: Goss Lake & Lone Lake are stocked with trout for seasonal fishing.
You can enjoy your own cooking, barbecuing, or even sample Whidbey's many styled restaurants. Enjoy hot dogs and s'mores over the fire pit in the woods at the dome.
Whidbey Island has many, many beaches, each one different and worth exploring, from soft sand to crashing waves, rocky tide pools and massive trees. Then, you come back at night to a warm meal, and comfy beds and dear companions. You an/or your children may want to sleep on the deck under the stars.
