This well-located apartment has one bedroom with a double bed and a balcony overlooking the sea, one bathroom with a bathtub, a fully equipped kitchen and a bright living room with dining area.



Situated in a bay bathed by the Atlantic Ocean, on the south coast of the island of Madeira, Funchal is the capital of Madeira.

This town that dates back some 500 years, since 21st August 1508, owes its name to a sweet-smelling wild herb, the “Foeniculum Vulgare” traditionally known as fennel [funcho], which existed in abundance at the time of its settlement.

Funchal is the largest tourist, cultural and commercial center of the archipelago of Madeira. This city offers a wide range of leisure activities, from visits to museums, monuments, and other landmarks, to walks in its beautiful gardens, walks along the Marina of Funchal full of boats, shopping and going out at night to bars and nightclubs.

In the form of an amphitheater, the Municipality of Funchal stretches along a hillside that goes from sea level to the Pico do Areeiro, at 1 818m altitude.

Guests should contact our team 45min before arrival and go directly to the apartment. Arrivals from 23:00 (11pm) to 06:00 (06am), a late check-in fee of EUR 30 shall be applied (paid in cash at check-in).

All guests must provide their ID or Passport Information at the time of check-in.

All the remaining payments must be made in cash.

Transfer Service - We can provide a transfer service for an additional cost.

Amenities - We provide toilet paper and shampoo only for the first day.

First Class Location

Overall a great place to stay. We were here for four weeks and appreciated the convenience that a major shopping centre with supermarket was right on the doorstep. The bus stops were all within 200 metre. The appartment met all our basic needs and was reasonably well equipped. With a few minor improvements this appartment could go from very good to excellent. For example, a wall attachment for the shower would be welcome. Previous reviewers have mentioned noise, but we did not find this a major issue. Being near a major route makes some noise inevitable, but this did not spoil our enjoyment. We look forward to being able to book this appartment again next year.

Lovely place

The apartment was very true to others opinions. The only drawback was the balcony as we were unable to make use of its due to the traffic noise especially the aerobus ....

Unterkunft nicht anders erwartet, leider sehr laut

Da unsere Söhne gleich im Nachbarhaus wohnen, wußten wir dass die Wohnung bestimmt gut sein wird. Das war sie auch, jedoch die Lautstärke von den Fahrzeugen der drunterliegenden Strasse war bis in den späten Abend sehr oft wirklich laut. Ansonsten wirklich gute Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter.

It was unfortunate that the appliances in the apartment were very tired

The location was very convenient for all services, shops, restaurants and buses around town. The apartment was clean and airy but there was no heat source for cool nights and kitchen equipment was poor.

Excellent, well appointed apartment

Apartment is well furnished and equiped. For us, the location was perfect - directly opposite the Madeira Forum and almost on the promenade. Very handy for the buses and less than 100 metres from several excellent restuarants. Unusually, the garage is spacious and easy to manoeuvre in. The only significant downside is that passing buses and lorries can be quite noisy as the struggle up the hill adjacent to the apartment. Minor quibles are that only one tea towel was provided each week; for the first week of our two week stay no bathmat was provided; and there was only one pillow each with no spares. Communication with the managing agents could have been better: 1) In all correspondence prior to our arrival was the insistence that the balance of the rent had to be paid in cash on arrival. With some difficulty (due to limits on daily cash withdraws) we did manage to extract Euro500 from ATMs at the airport. However it turned out that the balance was taken from our credit card shortly before our stay but no notification of this was given. So we had rather more spare cash than was comfortable. 2) The access day/time for the cleaners midway through our stay was supposed to be negotiated with us. But this didn't happen - we arrived back one day to find that the cleaners had been - however they did do a good job.
