Full disclosure--we started going to El Constante many years ago! We started going to other Texas Gulf Coast locations when our kids grew up, so we drifted away from this location. We ended up here because we changed our plans for a different location. This beachfront condo was absolutely perfect for our low-key vacation with our Chiweenie, Cookie. There is nothing better for me than being able to walk out the door and to the water! The condo was perfectly clean, the bed was comfy, and we loved the updated bathroom and new kitchen appliances. The pool was also beautifully maintained, and I really appreciate the on-site security. It is a safe location, but it is great to have that extra reassurance. As I mentioned, we are low-key during our beach trips. We want to chill, watch the waves (and the people), and play in the water. The IGA is nearby, so you can get some groceries and then never have to leave your condo if you don't want to, although there are plenty of good restaurants and the Padre Islander is a great place for souvenirs! It's a special place for us, and it lived up to my expectations. We will likely be back sooner rather than later! PS Pro tip: you get minimal towels, but you can swap them. I take my "hair" towel and extra wash cloths so that I never have to face humanity if I don't feel like it!
