About Kathy Rentz
I grew up at Lake Junaluska, and while Cincinnati, Ohio, has been my hometown for over 30 years now, it has been a lifelong dream of mine to own a property in NC where so many of my favorite memories were made. At last I got my chance, and I couldn't be happier with my Lake Junaluska getaway! Many thanks to my husband, Dave, for supporting this big life step. We hope you have a great time at the place and learn to love Lake Junaluska and the Waynesville area as much as our family does.

Great place for family to gather yet have plenty of personal space! The lake area is charming.
We really enjoyed the open concept, allowing for a large group to be together but with enough space & seating to not feel crammed. My 5 yr old played with legos on her own table and my 72 year old dad took naps in the recliner while the rest of us hung out in the middle. 2 master sweets downstairs & a jack & Jill up was a nice way to separate kids and adults. The beds upstairs aren’t big enough to be comfortable for two adults. One thing I missed on the site was there’s an apartment below the house used as a long-term rental. They were nice and not a bother. If you like sharp knives, bring your own. The lake is a nice walk and there’s a playground near the main parking lot. Waynesville has great restaurants and Asheville is a 30 min drive. Kathy was very easy to contact and we didn’t have any issues with the property. Overall, this was a great place to stay!
Attractive, spacious home with comfy furnishings in a good location with nice view of lake and moun.
We were pleased with the accommodations and the house met our needs. Kathy was very gracious, cooperative and helpful. We appreciate that we could bring our dog and all enjoyed walks around the lake. The house is very comfortable and can easily accommodate more people. We would definitely stay in this house again! A positive experience! Thank you!
We were looking for a place to stay near the mountains that could accommodate our extended family and dog. There was plenty of room and it was a great location within walking distance of Lake Junaluska. There were some initial issues when we arrived, but the homeowner promptly took care of them above and beyond our satisfaction.
