Ubicado a 24 millas de la garganta de Columbia, el complejo The Steelhead Ranch se encuentra en 40 acres con una vista doble de las montañas de Mount Hood y Mount Adams. According to the listing we were going to have bunk beds in two bedrooms but we were extremely happy to find none. There were multiple beds in all three bedrooms and all mattresses were reported to be very comfortable. The house was so well supplied with everything we could need!!

Property was amazing. Lots of room. Very quiet location, especially on the 4th of July. No fireworks near by so our dog was comfortable and not stressed. We'll equipped kitchen and very comfortable beds.

I think this was the best place I have ever booked. This place was remote like I wanted and the view of the mountains was spectacular. We will be staying again if we head back out that way. 10 out of 10.

Quiet retreat or wedding setting

Beautifully decorated, great residence and cabins. Unless you rent the whole facility there may be other people in the cabins. Would be a great place for a wedding or large family gathering.

This was my first time staying at a ranch and it was great! The skies were clear and they had a small telescope that I was able to use and point towards the moon and see the craters on the moon! Overall, it was great!

Amazing place

We rented the main cabin for a family gathering. The place was clean, had everything you need for a weekend stay, equipped with two refrigerators, a coffee maker, various pots and pans and even a crockpot. Perfect getaway with beautiful postures and views of two mountains, close enough to Goldendale when you can buy groceries. We fell in love with this place and will come back. Thank you for your hospitality.

Authentic ranch with beautiful views

A grandma, an auntie and three teenage boys stayed overnight for a visit to the Goldendale Observatory, and we were thrilled with the accommodations. The house was charming, the kitchen was well equipped for us to cook and bake luscious dinner, the beds were very comfortable, the house was spotlessly clean. We all loved it! Highly recommended.

Family gathering

Family met from all over the country and world(literally). My granddaughter was riding in the Glenwood rodeo Sunday. It is just a short beautiful drive to get there. Unfortunately we were just at the house one night. But will remember it for the future!!

Country Get-a-way!

Better than I expected! We loved the area, wide open spaces and lots of wildlife viewing. The house is a ranch house, but was equipped with everything we needed from cooking to all the amenities required for a 3 night stay. Lots of beds to choose from, tv with apps, and lots of wandering space. My wife’s parents are farmers from China and got the opportunity to watch baling of hay, they were thrilled. Definitely a place I would recommend for a country getaway. Oh yeah, night sky full of stars.

The living area was fine. It was advertised to sleep 10 but really wasn’t adequate to sleep our party of nine. There was a bed frame but no mattress. Both bathroom toilets were not in proper working order. They ran constantly. Kept folks awake. Daniel did come the second day but whatever he did to repair the issue didn’t work Daniel was very pleasant. The eating area was great for our large group.

Fantastic stay - the house was just lovely, very spacious and peaceful for our crew. We were visiting for a car race and the rental was exactly what we needed to rest and recharge after our busy days! We may go back just for vacation-ing next time!

We loved our stay!

The Steelhead Ranch was the perfect getaway for our large family! The area is beautiful and the property is lovely. The home was clean and the kitchen was well appointed for cooking large family meals. We loved sitting on the front deck enjoying the view of Mt Hood and Mt Adams while watching the sun set!

Great Place with Deer Friends

This place was amazing! A bit off the beaten path but that just adds to the charm. We saw deer (sometimes very up close) every single day of our stay which the kids loved. The mountain views are great. Plenty of beds for everyone to stretch out (just watch the bottom of the twin in the master-it's a toe stubbing magnet). Plenty of dishes for making and serving meals. Giant dining table great for games and sorting. I would definitely rent the place again! Great communication from owner-very open and helpful.

Quiet relaxation

I had an extended stay with my wife and kids and we loved every minute of it. The house was warm, comfortable, and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The views and the peaceful silence were amazing. Jack went above and beyond with great communication and even had the driveway plowed twice during a snowstorm. Would stay here again in an instant.

Christmas at the Ranch

This was such a great little getaway for our family in the times of uncertainty. There is so many little “fishing” details and it’s a comfortable space for all. Would def go back during the summer season!

When You Really Need to Get Away

The Steelhead Ranch is clean, comfortable, and well appointed. It is private and remote-- truly the antidote for civilization. My family had the opportunity to meet Jack, the owner and fly fishing guru, and he is a great guy. Already planning a larger group for our next stay in the spring.

Definitely familiar with hosting people as my other job as a lodge owner is even more hands on with guests than Airbnb. I enjoy cooking and hanging out with guests when they fish with us, hiking, live music and new roads.

Aside from family love, I have a love affair with rivers, I have floated close to 200 watersheds from Tierra Del Fuego to Alaska:)

The Steelhead Ranch is a little off the beaten path, but close enough to some amazing attractions. Though the cabins are generally rented separately, there is plenty of space for everyone to enjoy a nice peaceful stay with views of Mt Hood and Mt Adams while the birds chirp and the deer roam.

The house is well maintained with lots of beds, a full kitchen, washer/dryer, a gas grill out back and beautiful, beautiful views.
