Villa Protea - 5 bedroom close to beach, pool, games room

Designed with the outdoors in mind, Villa Protea has a traditional design and picturesque details. This 4 bedroom plus 1 extra bedroom villa (additional cost) offers accommodation spacious enough for a large group or family, complete with a private pool, games room and being within walking distance of local amenities.

The villa is surrounded by a mature garden with pine trees which allow for some amazing shaded areas - ideal for children to play. There is a large private swimming pool furnished with sun loungers for all guests and a shaded dining area for alfresco dining.

The villa has three levels: at the level of the garage and the pool there is a bedroom with two single beds, a bathroom with shower and a games room with a pool table.

On the ground floor is the living-dining room which opens south facing onto a large veranda. The living room has a fireplace, a flat screen with cable TV, wifi and comfortable sofas. The dining room is decorated with a beautiful set of antiques and has direct access to the kitchen. We recently remodeled the kitchen but kept the famous Portuguese tiles as a decorative detail - it's beautiful! From the kitchen you can go to the babrbecue terrace, equipped with a built-in charcoal barbecue. On this floor there are two bedrooms: a double bedroom with a separate bathroom and a double bedroom with an en-suite bathroom.

On the first floor there are two bedrooms: a double bedroom with an en suite bathroom and direct access to a very large terrace and a double bedroom with an en suite bathroom. All bedrooms have wardobes and air conditioning.

On the pool floor, you will find a space with a snooker table, plus a bathroom with shower and the extra bedroom with two single beds. This room is only available when requested by guests.

The beautiful beach and small selection of restaurants in Castelo can be reached within a 20-minute walk, or a 5-minute drive. Further afield is the lively town of Albufeira, with its marina and charming old town to impress from dusk till dawn, just a ten minute drive away.

Weekly rental includes bath and pool towels, light cleaning, air conditioning and WiFi.

Perfect family getaway

Lovely villa in a peaceful location. Walking distance to the beach and a few restaurants. The lively town of Alberfeira was a short taxi drive away. The hosts were really helpful and checked with us to make sure we had everything we needed. We would love to stay here again.

Great Family Villa

Just returned from a 7 night stay at this villa with 9 family members. Both the indoor and outdoor space amply accommodate families needs for fun,entertainment (pool/pool table/table tennis/bbq),and relaxation (indoor/outdoor dining). The location suited us beautifully with some great beaches within walking distance,nice restaurants and only €8-10 for an Uber into Albufeira main strip. Self check in/out very easy and great contact with host. Wouldn’t hesitate to return and recommend.

Beautiful villa for large group

Had a wonderful holiday at Villa Protea with family. Villa immaculately clean, beautiful pool and garden area. Enjoyed having the table tennis and pool tables. We didn't hire a car and managed fine. Less than 15 minute walk to pretty beach. A few restaurants within walking distance but Ubers really cheap to get to the Marina and old town. Sonia the manager always contactable via Whatsapp, quickly responded to any queries. Can highly recommend Villa Protea

Top huis!

Huis is gelegen in een rustige straat op een kwartier lopen van het strand. Huis is erg mooi, heel schoon, goede bedden. De communicatie met de organisatie verliep perfect via een Whatsapp-groep. Wij waren met 6 volwassenen en 4 pubers en zouden dit huis aan iedereen aanraden.

Lovely stay at Villa Protea

Lovely place to stay, fabulous pool and excellent facilities. Lots of space and very clean. We had a car, and Oct very quiet so no probs getting around. Excellent comms with the hosts, they were extremely helpful for everything. The oven is very slow as doesn't get very hot - but that is the only thing, everything else fab!! Thank you so much for a lovely stay!

Four generation holiday

The property overall was good although it is a strange arrangement with kitchen on the ground floor and outdoor eating area on the lower level which made it difficult transferring food down two flights of stairs. The Villa would benefit from some refurbishment, the bathrooms need updating, particularly the shower in the first ground floor bathroom which is far too small. The garden and pool area was lovely, which is where we spent most of our time. Lovely restaurants not too far away so within walking distance.
