The open space floor plan features an urban rustic design. It is located in the heart of historic Nye Beach, Village Central, and in immediate walking distance to the beach, parks, Performing Arts Center, shops and restaurants.

This beachy urban gem is streetfront, wheelchair accessible, and newly renovated for your next coastal escape.

The Village location gives you the option to leave your car in its reserved parking space and spend the rest of your trip on foot, exploring the beaches, pubs, restaurants, art venues, parks and shops of Newport, or to use it as a central point for exploring the gorgeous Oregon Coast.

This beautiful space is 652 square feet, more than three times the size of the average hotel room, and comfortably accommodates three adults or two adults and two small children.

The stylish brick and picket fence streetscape entrance leads to a large, open-concept living space.

The lounge area has a burnt-cedar accent wall, large gas fireplace, 55" HDTV, and a comfortable couch that converts to a single bed, a matching comfy chair, and a rustic coffee table with added storage for games and cards.

The full kitchen features an aged brick veneer wall, custom stainless steel and John Boos butcher block counters, new appliances, and a portable stainless steel island with stainless steel bar stools.

A hand-crafted, pub-height rustic dining table is a good dining, gaming or hangout option. The custom ship's wheel/rope lamp dining fixture is a focal point, while the pub bench and stainless steel bar stools accommodate six comfortably for games or dining.

A wall of windows offers views of the Nye Beach neighborhood, local park and Performing Arts Center. Cafe blinds and blackout blinds are provided for your privacy and comfort.

The cozy bedroom features a new, premium-mattress queen-size bed with an alternative goose down comforter. It is enclosed on three sides, with a privacy screen on the fourth wall.

The large bathroom features a handmade Talavera sink and an ensuite closet with ample storage.

For larger groups, this property can be combined with the adjacent Captain's Quarters to sleep up to 14 comfortably.

Perfect size and location

The flat is located in a really nice location, short walk to excellent breakfast and dinner, nearby places for your dog to do its business, beach access 1 block away, and a ton of free parking. Would definitely recommend.

Great spot near the beach

We really enjoyed being able to stay so close to the water and be able to walk to tons of restaurants and down to the waterfront area. Parking was super easy in front of the home. Perfect size for two of us and everything is true to pictures. Really enjoyed our stay and would come again on our next visit!

The place was clean, comfortable, and well-decorated. Right across from the park, so easy for dog walking. Less than 5 minuntes to the shops and restuarants at Nye Beach. We would definitely stay again.

So close to everything

Clean, quaint great for a solo, or a weekend for a couple. Only drawback is if someone is in unit above, it feels like elephants stomping. Upstairs was only occupied 2 of the nights I was there so minimal affect on my stay.

Nice, snug place near a huge Pacific Ocean beach. Would recommend it for a couple, but not a family. Would recommend small creature comforts to take the place to the next level (beach towels, coffee filters, variety of ganes)

Perfect for a quiet getaway.

My dog and I had a quiet weekend to ourselves and this was the perfect, cozy space for us. I love the convenient location, with the kids playing at the park across the street, just a couple blocks from the beach and Nye Beach areas, and about a 15 minute walk to the Bayfront. Thank you!

The noise from the children in the unit upstairs was unbearable - running, jumping and yelling all day starting at 6:30am. The coffee maker and some pots were dirty.

Cozy and Bright Nye Beach Retreat

Much nicer than photo suggests. Very, very clean and fresh. Echo other reviewer(s): *absolutely* needs place to hang used towel, and *absolutely* needs two fold-up suitcase stands; these are deal-breakers for enjoying the unit. Really could use small or medium "cereal bowls." Iron was an unexpected plus and needed! Very comfortable bed and sofa. Very, very good location for beach walks and shops. Another table lamp would be wonderful.

Cute convienient place away from traffic.

Husband and I and one dog stayed for weekend. It was designed cute and comfortable. We had everything we needed. We would have liked two chairs to sit outside in the sun . (Red would be cute) We propped the door open for fresh air and light and sat on doorstep. Overall it was nice and clean.

Nice place, not ideal on the ground floor.

Nice place in nice neighborhood. Need some maintenance however. Kitchen sink is missing the faucet and sprayer. The noise from upstairs can be overwhelming. Lights can use a dimmer or a couple of switches.

Very expensive for what you get. Space was dirty, the fold out bed was completely unusable since it was so uncomfortable. You can hear every noise from the other people staying upstairs. I think this would be acceptable as a budget option, but the price compared to the stay is ridiculous. They also charge you a security deposit that doesn’t drop off until an entire month later. Check-in was rough. I received the access code and directions to the upper unit and entered a different unit that other people were in, which is a security issue. Host was communicative and got back to me immediately, but chatting via the VRBO app was very glitchy. I will say that the location is fantastic but again this should be a budget stay.

Convenient, cozy, and comfortable ...

We had a two night weekend stay and the place was exactly what we were looking for. Everything worked great and the décor inside was comfortable and charming, including the queen bed !!! I've spend many years in Newport and have always loved the Nye Beach area and now over the past several years it's really been upgraded and the location of this place is right down the street and within walking distance of this quaint neighborhood with fabulous eateries. Looking forward to staying here again in the future. BTW went crabbing on Sunday morning and caught a cooler full of crab in 2 hours ... what a great weekend !! Thank you so much. Property could use a deep clean and some updates.

It’s a good location albeit not with an ocean view. The pictures online make this property look like it’s very light and spacious. However, It is a crowded, dark, noisy, basement apartment with the bed right next to the kitchen. There is nowhere to hang anything up other than one small rack In a closet off the bathroom. There are no lights anywhere to sit and read a book and there is no cross ventilation After reserving for the listed nightly fee you end up spending an additional $100, per night in “other” charges. I would not recommend this unless you want a small dark space to hang out. It needs some attention to detail for comfort and not just cute decor.

Great location

Only a few blocks from shops and the beach. Across the street from a great little park. The room was clean and cozy, but had a few flaws. Only one light switch to light the entire apartment, so when one gets up or goes to bed, we both had to go. There were no cleaning products in the place, which was a bit frustrating. Also, no dish cloths or dish towels - had to use paper towel for everything. There was a toaster oven, but no baking tray to put in it. Also missing was a pitcher. I was intrigued by the little dishwasher, and we used it each day. Very nice touch. We did enjoy our stay, as the location was great and the furnishings and decor are cute, I was unaware that a rental could only have one exit, and was a bit concerned about the over-use of plug-ins and extension cords! That seemed very unsafe! Overall, I'd give it a C+.

Our Stay at the Landing

There were some highlights and disappointments. To start with the highlights. It was close to the beach and had a kids park across the street. Plenty of pillows, good blankets were great. Inhouse coffee brewed a great cup in the morning. Towels were big and soft. On the other end of the spectrum. The door code provided got us a key that did not let us in. Took two phone calls to find out that key system was changed, but we were not notified of new codes. For us personally, ALL the interior lights were on or off. You can not have lights in different areas of the unit. So, everyone was up or in the dark. During our time there was a wind/rain/hail storm the windows leaked to which I tried to notify owner/management not to complain but to let them know. I did not get a response. I also let them know the dishwasher did not work. As we were checking out I met one of the staff, he told me there was a hookup we needed to use. In short, some directions on how to use the dishwasher would have been great. Small touches which make a difference-some basic spices other than salt and pepper make a difference. Also some things like film and foil make things useful. Cooking utensils were fine, however there were no bowls. Scratch my head on that, soup and cereal cups I guess.

Had an issue with the lighting. Called the owner who immediately brought over some lamps.

Vrbo guest services did not return 2 of my calls which was very disappointing but the property owners were great. Detailed instructions on the several tv and fire place/heater would help. Cooking basics would be nice, like salt and pepper, spices, and oil. Walking distance to the beach and town was nice.

Roy is a physician, and Lauri's background is in commercial real estate, so vacation rentals started as a sideline.

We love Newport and Nye Beach, and have a number of vacation rental homes in the area.

When this foreclosure home came on the market, we knew it was in a prime Nye Beach location, and was huge. We toured it the first day on the market and saw this lovely home needed some LOVE.

We purchased the home at an online auction, and commenced a massive renovation to restore it to its former glory.

This villa is so well built, in an amazing in-village location, with great ocean views and just steps to the beach, Performing Arts Center, pubs, restaurants, parks and shops of Nye Beach.

We fell in love, and hope you will too!
