Calm and Peaceful cottage in beautiful surroundings
The property was lovely and quiet and not too far away from lots of different places to see and visit. It had a very spacious outdoors where you could just relax with no distractions. Inside it was very clean and tidy with everything you could want. A great place for a peaceful getaway.
home from home
Perfectly placed for touring East Sussex. Very comfortable and well maintained property, in a lovely setting. The owners are very friendly and welcoming.
This is such a lovely property in beautiful surroundings. We enjoyed our stay so much we would certainly come back again. The owners were lovely people who were very welcoming.
Idyllic special place
This lovely cottage is situated in the most perfect peaceful setting of a large field and trees. The owner's property is next door but is completely unintrusive so that the cottage feels very private with it's own patio garden and all the field to sit in! The cottage itself is very well equipped with all that you need for a restful self-catering holiday. It is lovely to have a queen size bed. The owners were so welcoming and helpful with tips for cycling and walking from the cottage. The local village shop is great and we really enjoyed cycling along the quiet country lanes. Well located for visits further afield such as to the charming National Trust property and garden Smallhythe Place near Tenterden, as well as Tenterden itself, Rye, Battle and Hastings- check out the Old Town in Hastings- it's buzzing. Highly recommend this cottage for a peaceful retreat away from the world!
Very good would revisit
Nice cottage, good location for visiting other areas. Nicely situated in expansive garden. Nice welcome pack and friendly owners.
Lovely place to relax and enjoy the English countryside. Plenty to do in the area. The Dairy was clean and comfortable. It had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Lovely weather meant we could sit outside and enjoy the surroundings - a bonus!
Iden is a village on the boarders of Kent and East Sussex and one of the oldest in this area. The village has a shop and a pub serving good food. You are just 2 miles from the heart of Rye and its many historical and beautiful features. Cobbled streets a lovely church with roof access and an abundance antique shops. Camber Sands, just a 5 minute drive is in my opinion the best beach in Kent and a nice day out in the dunes can be followed by a nice evening in one of Rye's many pubs and restaurants before retuning to your peaceful haven in Iden. There are a wealth of other tourist attractions in this area.
