Newly refurbished, modern apartment in Hathersage, with parking
Bright and contemporary apartments, located in the heart of the beautiful village of Hathersage, the perfect base for exploring the stunning Peak District National Park. The Peak District is heaven for walkers, climbers and cyclists as well as anyone wanting a relaxing break.
There are stunning walks from the doorstep as well as fantastic cafes, pubs and restaurants in the village. The apartment is less than a hundred metres from great pubs and restaurants. A great location but quiet during the evenings. Hathersage outdoor swimming pool is just 200 metres away with views of the surrounding peaks. The pool is heated all year round - fantastic during Autumn/Winter as well as the Summer months. Some of the best caves and caverns in the country can be explored from nearby Castleton. Great apartment for couples and young families with lots of activities for children nearby. You can easily leave the car in the car park for the duration of your stay.
The stately homes of Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall are easily accessible and the regular programme of events at Chatsworth are a highlight. Peak Caverns have a great programme of concerts and events within the nearby caves. The charming villages of Edale, Castleton, Bakewell and Eyam in close proximity.
The apartment is located at 1 Main Road, Hathersage and has been recently refurbished to a high standard. Parking is always a challenge in Hathersage and you will have reserved parking for one vehicle.The apartment is above the award winning Harrington’s deli and butchers.
The newly installed contemporary kitchen includes everything you need for your stay with new appliances including dishwasher, microwave, washing machine, fridge freezer, oven. Great space to relax after a day’s walking or sight seeing. Relaxing, small outdoor space overlooking shallow stream.
The sitting/dining room has a vaulted ceiling and views of the surrounding hills. There is a new sprung double sofa bed, smart television, plus playstation 4 with a wide range of blu rays. The dining table seats four.
The bedroom also features views of the peaks, with a smart TV bed (the TV pops up from the end of the bed by remote control. There is also an additional sofa bed in the bedroom. The apartment is perfect for a couple or young family and would suit a group of friends, it can sleep 4 or even 5 if you’re a young family with little ones.
The newly installed bathroom features a bath with overhead shower, handbasin and wc.
The apartment is set up for children of all ages and there are lots of great activities for kids nearby. For younger children there are playgrounds in Hathersage and nearby Bamford, Gulliver's Kingdom is a 30m drive away and the Hathersage outdoor pool is 200 metres away from the apartment. Chatsworth children's farm and adventure playground are always a big hit. Kids of all ages will be fascinated by the best show caverns in the country in Castleton (10 minutes away). There are numerous easy cycle trails where you can hire bikes and toddler trailers i.e. Tissington trails (35mins) and Monsal Trail (20mins) For older children Alton Towers, the UK's biggest theme park, is less than an hour away and a there are a myriad of outdoor pursuits such as caving, climbing, cycle hire and watersports at Carsington Water. Lots of options in the event of wet weather too. If you'd like inspiration, the owner would be delighted to share ideas with you.
Well trained pets are welcome.
Hathersage is well serviced by road and rail, with Manchester, Leeds and Sheffield an easy day trip.

Nicest, most warm and welcoming Airb'N be we have ever come across. Almost imnediate responses to queries. The apartment could not be more centrally placed for the numerous pubs, shops and restaurants in Hathersage and a private parking space is priceless. The apartment is warm and cosy after a day on the hill. The Butcher's below is a gem. I would want to stay anywhere else.

The accommodation was ideal for exploring Hathersage. Easy walking distance to the outside pool. Lovely surrounding walks. Good cafes and restaurants in Hathersage. Accommodation was lovely, everything we needed.

Excellent Location
Location was excellent - great view of the main high street from the lounge window. Comfortable apartment within easy walking distance of the lido, great pubs and cafes, Little John's grave etc!
Main bed had integrated TV in footboard - great feature as long as you're shorter than 6 foot 4"!

Lovely stay in the Peaks
The property was just right for me and well located. Having off street parking was great and it was also close to local transport options. It had everything I needed inside and was very comfortable. Would definitely return!!

Weekend in Hathersage
Lovely weekend stay at Morton Loft. Apartment was perfect, clean and in a great location. No negatives - would gladly stay again and communication with Andrea (host) was great. Definitely recommend this little gem.

Weekend Away with the Family to enjoy the Peaks
I want to say a huge thank you as we had a fabulous weekend in the peaks. Perfect location for some fantastic walks.
Property was in prime location for local shop and some lovely restaurants.
Clean and tidy with enough space for the 4 of us plus pet.
Host was excellent and was very helpful before our stay with some good recommendations.

The flat was really clean and had everything you needed in the kitchen, including a washer/dryer. Heating and hot water was very efficient (and much appreciated after a windy day on the hills). Very easy to visit by train. The little shop is less than 5 minutes away and is well stocked and the bakery does lovely pastries and a range of other things. Hourly trains into Sheffield make it a good spot to visit both the city and the Peaks. The area is beautiful and it's great being able to walk from the door. We did a lovely 6 mile Stanage Edge circular walk that we'll definitely do again. All communications with Andrea were timely and very smooth. Highly recommend; we plan to return.

Great base for exploring
We really enjoyed our family stay in Hathersage. The apartment is clean and comfortable, a perfect base for exploring local walks and adventures.
Best Indian restaurant (Maazi’s) within walking distance. And the most amazing pork sandwiches from the butcher downstairs!
The apartment is simple but well equipped with everything you need.

Well located property with all amenities. Lovely village with fantastic walking and numerous cafes/restaurants.
A little noisy in the early mornings with traffic noise and from business below but to be expected in this location. Very peaceful in the evenings/night.

Weekend above a butchers
Property well presented. Ideal for the weekend we wanted. Gathers age is a beautiful place. Fish and chip shop excellent, local walks brilliant and very relaxing. We did encounter a few electrical problems at the property that were dealt with, though to be woken on a Saturday morning was not appreciated. Though owner was trying to help this problem should have been sorted before we got there.

It was actually fine ahead of your stay and so it couldn’t have been resolved sooner. The electrician kindly came out that morning for you, as per your request to have the switch fixed immediately. Sorry if, on reflection, you wanted him to come later.

Newly decorated and well located
Andrea was very responsive, friendly and helpful. The apartment is not the largest, but has been newly refurbished internally, with 2 smart TVs, good wifi, well-stocked kitchen, and beds + comfortable sofabeds for 6 with plenty of linen & bedding. Hathersage is an excellent location for many sites in the White / Dark Peaks, whilst on-site parking + bus stops + shops + restauramts nearby make the apartment very convenient. It is relatively quiet in the evening, but may better suit early risers given its proximity to the main road and being above commercial premises.

My husband and I had a lovely long weekend break in this place. The accommodation was as described. Everything new and clean and we had the privilege to be the first ones to use everything after lockdown. Our host was great, always making sure that we were comfortable and had everything we needed. We had a nice bottle of Moët waiting for us on our arrival. Hope Valley is a beautiful and peaceful place if you want to get away from the city and like nature and long walks. We took our bicycles too. We will definitely be coming back.

5 night stay in September 2022.
Our stay at Morton Loft was delightful. The accomodation was bright, cosy, very clean and tastefully decorated and furnished. The accomodation had all that you would need during your stay and was situated in the village a short walk to Hathersage swimming pool. Andrea offfered infirmation regarding places to eat and visit. She was very approachable and when contacted for advice, responded immediately. I am sure you will enjoy your stay as much as we did.

New year break with fsmiky
I booked this for my sister and her family who live in Hampshire, over new year and it was so nice for us all to get together. It’s a beautiful, immaculately clean apartment well equipped warm and convenient for all local amenities. Andrea was incredibly quick to reply to my messages, helpful and friendly. A great discovery
We had a very enjoyable week exploring the Peak District from this very comfortable and well-equipped apartment. Hathersage is a lovely village within easy reach of many of the park’s highlights. Being located above Harrington’s butchers had a double advantage; great produce on the doorstep and quiet seclusion in the evenings.
We recommend this as a great place and Andrea was very helpful throughout.
