Loved Casa Della Verona!

Great experience from start to finish; timely responses from the owner when needed, and the apartment was exactly as advertised. Definitely recommended for anyone looking in the San Marco district!

Nice place

Nice place and beautiful view of a canal. The only thing could've been better is to have hand soap in bathrooms. I would definitely recommend this place and come back to it

Great Location

Our stay was so nice in Venice! The location was perfect- half way between the Rialto Bridge and Piazza San Marco. The apartment was cool and easy to get into. It had a nice coffee maker and nice large bathrooms with large working showers (a rarity in Europe)! There were plenty of cafes and restaurants very close too.

Accomodating

Host was very accommodating and offered additional space after confusion about number of persons in our group. Apartment was clean and consistent with booking. Would definitely return if and when able.

Pros:Spacious placeHost responsiveCons:1. Lots of black mold in shower, so much mold you can smell. 2. Air conditioner not working in blue bedroom3. No mattress covers/ protectors. Mattress in blue bedroom smells like urine.4. Unit is falsely advertised as having balcony/patio… there is NOT a balcony/ patio in unit.5. Dryer not working… we had to hang all of our clothes out to dry 6. We had to take our personal trash out to the loading dock boats early morning or we would be charged an ADDITIONAL cleaning fee on top of the cleaning fee we already paid. What is purpose of cleaning fee if we need to take our own trash out??7. The place does allow for natural sunlight, however be prepared for no privacy due to the men neighbors staring inside unit soon as you open windows. Felt as if we were constantly being watched. Our overstay was not comfortable mostly due to unsanitary conditions and lack of air conditioning. We departed a day early due to these conditions. I did file a compliant with upper management and the inspection department will investigate if this unit is safe for rent.

Family with 3 boys

The apartment is very large and comfortable for a group with children although I was a little anxious with the kids playing around delicate pieces of art and glassware. It is conveniently located near many attractions including the vaporetto, Rialto bridge, San Marco Square as well as many restaurants and stores. There is an affordable grocery store located very close as well as a great cafe around the corner which we frequented quite often. I would definitely recommend this apartment and use it again. The only downside is it can be a little bit of a hassle to get to upon arriving to Venice especially if you have lots of luggage and there are several flights of stairs to get to the apartment.

Fantastic Appartment & Location

Located in the heart of Venice, the appartment is amazing absolutely everything you could ask for. The Host Federico was great with really good communication prior to arrival giving us options on the best way to arrive. If you want to do it in style book a water taxi from the airport and ask the driver to drop you at "Rio Tera Degli Assassini" just steps away from the appartment. There is also a great little cafe called Brasilia ME NU a few yards away from the appartment if you want anything from, breakfast, cakes, sandwich, wine beer etc. Frederico very kindly offered us a breakfast box a company was trying out which was not bad value for money a great idea for your 1st morning in Venice. The appartment is only 7 minutes from Rialto Bridge providing you don't get distracted and lost down the many side street canals. It is also about 10 minutes to San Marco. Overall I can highly recommend Calle Della Madonna we would definitely stay there again absolutely brilliant. Federico will show you all the places to visit on a map, eat and drink, when you check in, he could not be more helpful. Go on book with confidence you will have an amazing time.
