"Le Armelline", holiday home in the heart of the historic center of Lecce.

The house, a typical construction with star vaults, is located in a small courtyard near Piazza Sant'Oronzo, just 50 meters away from the main street and the beautiful church of Sant'Irene, historically considered as the exact center of the city ancient.
The apartment can accommodate up to 5 people, and is composed of a comfortable fully equipped kitchen/dining room, two double bedrooms, two bathrooms with shower, a mezzanine with a single bed (a comfortable Japanese futon), a small laundry room with washing machine , a small internal cloister. It is equipped with heating, bed linen and towels, pots, crockery, cutlery and any other useful accessory. In summer the rooms are naturally cool and do not need air conditioning. However, there is 1 air conditioner in the smaller double bedroom.
Its position allows you to spend a pleasant and relaxing stay in the fascinating beauty of the historic center of Lecce, with its evocative baroque architecture, alleys, courtyards, artisan shops, typical restaurants and any other cultural, artistic or recreation of the ancient village.
Those arriving by car must park outside the historic center about 600/700 m from the apartment.
There are 2 paid car parks:
- private secure parking
- unattended municipal parking at 60 cents. per hour (free from 2.00 p.m. to 4.00 p.m., from 9.00 p.m. to 9.00 a.m., and all holidays)
It is a perfect accommodation for those who come to Lecce for work or want to visit and discover Salento; in a short time it is possible to reach the splendid places of the Adriatic coast (Torre dell'Orso, Otranto, Santa Cesarea, Castro) or of the Ionian coast (Porto Cesareo, Porto Selvaggio, Santa Caterina, Gallipoli, Marina di Ugento, up to Santa Maria di Leuca where it is possible to appreciate the meeting of the two seas, Adriatic and Ionian).
It is also possible to choose the itineraries to reach the suggestive municipalities of the hinterland (Acaya, Galatina, Maglie, the municipalities of Grecìa Salentina, Cutrofiano, Capo di Leuca)
“Le Armelline” is managed directly by the owners, who will be happy to offer you any type of assistance and information to make your stay as pleasant, comfortable and interesting as possible.

This was a lovely apartment centrally located with hosts that were very attentive. Two things to note, there is not a living room but a large kitchen for common space. Also, it can be a little chilly in the apartment when it is raining.

Excellent location and apartment

We can’t stay enough about how great this apartment is. The owner was great. The location perfect. Easy walk from the train station and to all the sites. Apartment has everything you need. The beds are very comfortable.

One quiet week in Lecce

My friend and I picked Lecce as a base for its history and architectural beauty. The center is compact and the train station is within walking distance. The apartment was spacious with 2 bedrooms and 2 baths. It was only 2 of us but it could accommodate 5. We enjoyed its location.

Lecce in the Fall

Very nice, comfortable apartment with convenient amenities. Location is unbeatable in the heart of town yet quiet street. Maria is a great host with very good communication, accommodating and hospitable. All in all an outstanding experience, highly recommended.

Maria and Diario are a great host, Diario was waiting us for check in and show us the apartment even we had a delay flight, Great and clean apartment, has everything you need,,the Location is Amazing, you're in the heart of center, We are high recommend it..

Menorable

Where to begin. Firstly, the location was perfect. It was a 2 minute walk from Piazza Samt’oranzo (one of the main squares in the old town) and bars, restaurants, shops galore. However, it was perfectly situated enough away from the hustle and bustle not to hear any of the goings on. The property itself was amazing. Beautiful baroque architecture. High ceilings,, original stone walls and all kept in pristine condition. The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. The mezzanine got very warm so it was essential to have the fan on when sleeping up there but was very cozy. The one bedroom that had air conditioning was perfect. The kitchen had everything you needed and the the two bathrooms proved very useful for my family of 5. The host was fantastic, always available (not that we needed to contact her that often) and extremely helpful. She communicated very clearly with us addressing all our questions well. She really went the extra mile organising a cot for our baby, having some water, food and snacks there for our arrival and even helping us out with travel arrangements from Brindisi airport. We stayed here for a total of 4 weeks and it was absolutely perfect t. Lecce itself is just such a relaxed and beautiful place. Will 100% be back!

A Great Stay in Central Lecce

Beautiful house in Lecce

We had a wonderful stay in Lecce. The city is beautiful and the location is very central. The house was very clean and nicer than the pictures. The rooms are beautiful and everything worked well. Maria was very helpful and communicative- thank you for making feel at home! As a note when staying in the old city: parking will be a little distant, so expect to walk about 10 minutes.

Ruhig und zentral erholen in Lecce

Wir fanden nette Vermieter die uns herzlich und mit süsser Überraschung empfangen haben. Sie waren entgegenkommend was die Anreise Zeit betraf und waren selbst am Sonntag Morgen vor Ort um die Schlüssel zu übergeben. Sie organisierten sofort einen Handwerker als mit dem Warmwasser etwas nicht stimmte, was durch unsere Unwissenheit via falschem Schalter Gleich auch den Kühlschrank abstellte. Die Wohnung ist wie beschrieben schön, sauber und empfehlenswert. Vielen Dank für Ihre Hilfeleistung und freundliche Art.

Very nice house

Everything in the house was perfectly clean and aligned with the pictures. Very good site for the access to the city. The host were wery king and helpful (thank you). The kitchen is well equipped, the beds are comfortable. About the things to improve; 1. The parking is at least 700 meters and the access with luggage is complicated. 2. The exterior space is not very confortable (furnitures) and limited. 3. One thing that is missing is an interior space to sit and relax (sofas, etc.). The experience was positive. Thant you to our host.

Family vacation in Italy

This was my first time using VRBO internationally and I was extremely happy with the service and the owner. I really appreciated that they allowed a 100% refund as close to my stay and that they didn’t require final payment so far in advance. Many American rentals are not so generous or trusting. Fortunately, our travel went as expected and there was no need to cancel, etc. The apartment was lovely and Maria Grazia was very helpful with the check-in process. She met us upon arrival and provided nice instructions in advance with parking options during our stay which was much appreciated. The location was central to the historic district, and we thoroughly enjoyed our walks through town and evening dinners out in lovely Lecce. Thank you!
