About Laura

Hi! I'm a photographer and baker by profession. I love storytelling in all forms, and am endlessly intrigued by other's journeys through this world.

I love keeping a tidy home, and in this case, I have prepared my home to be a comfortable place that caters to guests - with ample dedicated space for your personal items as well as attention to details that make your stay a pleasant and comfortable one.

I grew up traveling, and stayed put in a few places in between (LA, NYC, Vancouver, Caracas, Mexico City). Learning to create a sense of home wherever I go is special and important to me – and so I take pride and joy in creating a space that makes guests feel at home, inspired and comfortable while they're away from theirs.

3 most likely places you'll find me are:

–A kitchen

–Grocery aisle

–Any place that still sells real books

Why Laura chose Lockeland Springs

This home is special to me in that I worked many years to be able to afford a property! I take great care of it, and always envisioned sharing it with others. I loved this house immediately because of it's charm and... location, location, location! Its unbeatable location in one of the best areas of this thriving city. I love how central it is, and how it's surrounded by so many great spots; eateries, coffee shops, boutiques, local music venues... and any basic amenity nearby. Its low-key vibe attracts a local community of artists and I personally enjoy how it's away from the hustle and bustle of highly touristy attractions, while being close to everything in town. As a foodie, it was also important to me to find a house close to great restaurants and cafes!! Many of my favorites in the city are within walking distance, or mere minutes by car.

What makes this house unique

One of the things that made this house stand out for me was all of the victorian details - the charm of an older home, kept in such great condition. The high ceilings, and the amount of light in the house was a huge selling point for me!! As soon as I saw it, I had a vision of how I would update it to incorporate a more modern touch, incorporate historical elements of my own family, and the house itself in picture frames on the walls. Over all my goal was to make the house feel bright and inspiring, and inviting.
