The Space:
Smuggler’s Rest is situated within a traditional victorian seaside building. Walk along Marine Parade and you’ll fail to be disappointed by the charm that has remained on the street, even today.

The apartment boasts a spacious, open-plan living area with the kitchen providing more than sufficient room to prepare an evening meal for you and your loved ones. You really are spoilt for choice when it comes to relaxing space, with a sofa and two tables, including one right in the window available for your use. Fully equipped with modern appliances and cookware, and finished with shiny white cupboards and surfaces, the kitchen has everything you could need to make the most of your self-catering stay.

Smuggler’s Rest has two welcoming bedrooms with high quality beds to match. Head to the master bedroom and you’ll find a comfortable king-size bed in an immaculately refurbished room. The space is also carpeted and has tidy furnishings. The second bedroom has ample room for a cosy double bed and a mirrored wardrobe.

The fresh features continue in the family bathroom where you’ll find a bath and shower, a luxury wash basin, as well as a toilet.

What’s more, Smuggler’s Rest has excellent storage space. You’ll find a large cupboard under the stairs, perfect for storing your luggage throughout your stay.

The courtyard at the front has seating and there is direct access to the backyard from the property, ideal for kids and pets. There is also a bench to enjoy the weather.

There is free on-street parking outside the property and throughout Saltburn.

The Neighborhood:
Smuggler’s Rest is located in the charming Victorian Spa town of Saltburn-by-the-Sea on the North Yorkshire coast.

Located in the heart of the town, the property is only a short walk from the beach and lower promenade. Take the oldest functioning cliff lift in the UK down to the promenade and you’ll arrive at the 208-metre pier which stretches out into the sea. The long sandy shores are overlooked by colourful boutique beach huts and high cliffs tower in the distance.

Saltburn has plenty of beautiful walks too. The Valley Gardens are a maze of paths and tracks which wind through the flowers and woodland. If you want to explore further, The Cleveland Way National Trail is over 100 miles long and the lovely Saltburn is featured. If you fancy a 17.5 mile jaunt, start at Saltburn and walk your way to Sandsend. This walk is a great way to explore the North Yorkshire coastline and the views are beautiful!

Getting Around:
Smuggler’s Rest is within walking distance of all that Saltburn has to offer and within 30 minutes’ drive time of Staithes, Whitby, Middlesbrough and the North Yorkshire Moors.

Saltburn Train Station is a short walk away and has routes to Longbeck, Redcar, Middlesbrough and Darlington with connecting trains to Newcastle, York, Leeds, Manchester and London.

There are plenty of bus routes throughout Saltburn. Hop on the Arriva North East route and you can visit beautiful coastal villages like Staithes, Runswick Bay and Whitby. The Moorsbus route has drop offs at Newton Under Roseberry, Great Ayton, Stokesley and Helmsley.
