Between the Historic Torres de Serrano & Plaz de la Virgen, on quiet no traffic street in the most elegant part of the Center, walking distance to the bustling Carmen quarter, monuments, Rio park & Tram going to Beach. Once part of an early 20th Century Jamon factory, now completely renovated and decorated. 3rd floor, (no elevator), living room, 1 bed, 1 bath, custom full kitchen, balconies and ample private terrace. Original wooden ceilings & exposed brick walls. A\C, high speed fixed Wi-Fi.

IDEAL LOCATION-Jamon Factory Loft
Newly designed and furnished, equipped with Air conditioning, fast fixed line Wi-fi, 1 bedroom, 1 Baths and ample private terrace. This apartment, located on the third floor of a traditional building from the beginning of the last century that has No Elevator, but the stairs are few and it feels like a 2nd floor walkup. Located just 100 meters from the famous Plaza de la Virgen and directly behind the ancient tower of Serrano (partial views from the Terrace), on an elegant, quiet street closed to traffic in the heart of Valencia’s Historic Center. The flat is also comfortably near the ring road that surrounds the center as well as the famous Rio Turia river, recouped through dredging of the original river that once ran through here for centuries, now transformed into a sprawling public park with sports facilities, bike and running paths, soccer fields and child’s amusement park, running parallel to the Histroic Center, past the City of Arts and Sciences, a marvel of modern architecture by Valencia’s most famous, Santiago Calatrava and home to one of the largest aquariums in Europe.

From the house one can reach the following sites in minutes:
-Rio Park (150 meters),
-Ancient Serrano Tower (100 meters),
-Plaza de la Virgen (300 meters),
-Monumental Cathedral of Valencia (400 meters),
-Plaza de la Reina (400 meters),
- Mercado Central (900 meters),
-Metro colon (1 km), where pass lines with direct connections leading to the airport in 15-20 minutes.

Jamon Factory loft
The house measures circa 75 square meters, in addition to a 40 square meter terrace, which can be enjoyed virtually year round for outdoor dining, entertaining and lounging. Located on the 3rd floor of a traditional building from the beginning of the last century that has No Elevator, but the stairs are few and it feels like a 2nd floor walkup. The apartment, properly named Jamon Factory loft, was once used for the drying of traditional Spanish Jamon. Newly designed as a modern loft style apartment and tastefully decorated with a mix of modern and period pieces, the flat was completely restored in 2018 with an eye towards preserving its original character while offering all of the quality necessities for your stay. The apartment is equipped with Air Conditioning, fast fixed line Wi-fi and has a large bedroom, Bath, a spacious living room, two balconies and a large private terrace.

Inside, the house is divided in a functional way, is filled with natural light from an entire wall of windows overlooking and with direct access to the terrace

APARTMENT-The Space
This functionally divided apartment is circa 75mq. (800 sq. feet), in addition to a 40sq. meters private terrace. Through the original restored door, one arrives in the main living, an open space living-dining room circa of 40mq.

LIVING ROOM: The living room has large plank light grey flooring, wooden ceilings, exposed brick walls and steel beams. An entire wall of windows overlooks the private terrace and allows in ample natural light. The space has a modern wood and iron dining table for 6-8, an L shaped comfortable sofa, (could sleep one additional person), leather arm chair, Smart T.V., custom led lighting and A\C. This room’s original features, together with its decoration, gives the space an atmosphere of quiet elegance and charm. The traditional light wooden floors contrast with the brick, steel beams and white walls add a sense of warm welcome, recalling the older tradition, albeit in a house equipped with all the necessary comforts of modern life.

KITCHEN: This custom full kitchen was professionally made to fit the space in a U shaped design separating from the living area, with grey granite tops and traditional Spanish tile accents. Ample storage is provided under the granite counter tops and it is equipped with a dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, oven and American coffee maker. The kitchen is fully stocked with a wide range of dishes, glasses, cutlery, kitchenware, cookware, toaster, boiler and small appliances.

MASTER BEDROOM Full bed, (2.0x1.60) Sleeps 2: The master bedroom has built in closets, 4-meter-high wooden beamed ceilings, original exposed brick walls and custom lighting. Carefully furnished with custom double bed of higher quality, original design lighting fixtures from Africa, an arm chair double doors opening onto a little balcony overlooking the quiet street.

BATHROOM: Located in a common hall between the bedroom and dining area, a newly renovated bath with w\c, bidet and oversized shower in white and grey with mosaic floors and exposed brick walls.

TERRACE: a pleasant outdoor area with original terracotta floors can be accessed directly off the living room. Furnished with sofa, chairs and coffee table, this area, bathed in light from afternoon to sunset, usable throughout the year, is an ideal place to relax, have breakfast, eat, enjoy reading a good book or have a glass of wine having a chat in the evening.

A well-appointed home with a mix of modern and period pieces, photographic reproductions, custom art and all of the necessary furnishings that make nice the holiday, allowing guests to live as if they were at home.

The apartment is very bright and quiet, centrally located within two minutes from the bustling Carmen district, the center of Valencia’s nightlife and packed with restaurants, bars and café’s. An ideal location for the cultural as well as the hedonist tourist, while protected from crowds and noise. All of the main monuments of Valencia area but a short stroll and, for those wishing to combine their Valencia visit with sports activities, a stone’s throw from the dredged river Turia, offering ample possibilities to cycle or run from the center to the beach or enjoy a pleasant walk through shaded pathways to the famous City of Arts and Sciences, a magical futuristic mix of architecture and home to one of the largest aquariums in Europe which is a favorite of adults and children alike.

Bicycles rentals are available for rent directly below the house.

Once your reservation is confirmed, you will receive the contact information of the key holder who will accompany you and check you into the apartment. You should give your estimated arrival time as soon as possible then call the key holder when you are circa 30 minutes from the apartment. Check in is from 16:00, while check out is 11 am on your departure date.
Taxi Instructions: The street where the flat is located can easily be confused with another of a similar name. If you take a taxi, be sure to instruct them near the Torres de Serranos.

NEIGHBOORHOOD
Situated in the most elegant quarter of Valencia’s Historic Center, La Seu, just steps from the famous landmark Torres de Serrano, the Monumental Plaza de Carmen and a mere 200 meters from the Plaza of the Virgin and the bustling Carmen neighborhood, (the center of Valencia’s night life), and just steps away from the lovely Rio Park, a dried river turned into a lush public park with sports facilities that winds around the historic center down to Calatrava’s modern architectural marvel, the City of Arts and Sciences. There are a large number of good restaurants, bars and cafe’s nearby and you will be given the list of our favorite tried places. The Central Market, a marvelous Belle Époque building houses the city’s most famed market and is surrounded by restaurants and coffee shops.
On the other side of the river, just opposite where the house is, there is a lovely museum housing precious Old Master Spanish and international works of art. In addition, here one will find a tram which goes directly to the Beach.

The apartment is also a pleasant 10 minute through Valencia’s most renowned shopping district to the Colon Metro station with connections directly to the airport, (25min. to airport)

The Surroundings

The Torres de Serrano, as well as the nearby Torres de Quart, constitute a magnificent example of Medieval architecture from the end of the XIV Century, while the nearby Plaza de la Virgen offers the visitor a theatrical spectacle of the Gothic-Barocco. The Cathedral together with the Palaz de la Reina and built on the remains of a Roman temple, dates back to the 13th Century and was modified many times over the centuries. Ledged has it that the holy grail is conserved in a Chapel within the Cathedral and this can be viewed daily.

A winding stairwell inside the Cathedral leads one to a large terrace offering a marvelous view of the city.

The Silk Merchant house, a majestic structure and once the site of commercial trading site, is now a beautiful museum with a large atrium and salon and an ancient interior garden.

The Central Mercado, aside from being one of the most representative examples of liberty period architecture in Valenica, is a gastronomic paradise where high quality local grown fruits and vegetables, meats and fish are sold, as well as the world famous prosciutto jamon. Just outside the market, a number of Street food vendors
serve a variety of tapas and Paella Valenciana prepared with fresh products from the market.

In just a few minutes, one can walk to the Carmen neighborhood, a quarter of the city known for its many bars and eateries open into the early hours of the morning,
Here a mix of locals and foreigners mesh making this the center of Valencia’s night life.

It is recommended just to meander in the little streets and alleyways of the center
where every angle will offer up a surprise of little bars, characteristic eateries, giant murals painted on the sides of buildings and artisan shops hidden in the shade of small piazza’s that all juxtapose to create an authentic charming atmosphere.

The little street on which our apartment is situated is amazingly tranquil by night, even though it sits just steps away from nightlife, where tourists and locals can be found at all hours in search of the last drink of the evening. There is also a supermarket just 50 meters from the house.

Good central property
Nice apartment. Good location and a great base for both exploring or cooking and resting on the evenings you wish to relax. Would have liked more clarity about Sunday check in additional fee before booking (we might have stayed another night if we had known this), but other than that, no issues. Valencia is a great city.

Nice flat overall, but 

The flat is well designed and in a good location for restaurants and sights. Warning: It is 54 steps up, and the outside space is nice but noisy due to a school’s playground being right below. The sliding glass doors and the bedroom’s balcony doors are soundproof . Again, nice but for the price, we expected more than two bath towels & one hand towel.and an extra set of bed pillows? Plus an oversight in that there was no shower gel in the shower, and hot water doesn’t last for two showers. Also, there were very tiny ants in the bathroom and bedroom.
