Why they chose this property
Local amenities are on your doorstep at this property as mentioned in the description. Within walking distance are the Macclesfield canal, presently used for narrowboats and the Cloud, the main local landmark (which can be viewed from the upstairs window!). There are many great walking and biking trails, you will find many leaflets in the Cottage for local attractions.
Congleton town centre is a 10/15 minute walk, a thriving market town with its own interesting history, there is an extremely helpful tourist information centre at the town hall if you want to discover the hidden gems of Cheshire!
Close by are several country houses to visit, incl. Biddulph Grange (National Trust – 2 miles), Little Moreton Hall (National Trust 3 miles), Gawsworth Hall and Capesthorne Hall (both privately owned Grand Country Houses - 6 miles) and the Tatton Park (NT) is a 30-minute drive. Another famous landmark, well worth visiting, is Jodrell Bank Observatory (8 miles).
