Cottage Ferme pour 2 personnes (1 chambre en suite)

Autrefois partie de la ferme, ce chalet était auparavant une habitation d'ouvrier agricole au XVIIIe siècle. Il a été sympathiquement reconverti en chalet indépendant et bénéficie d'un plafond aux poutres apparentes en chêne et d'une cheminée à foyer ouvert. Le salon a une télévision de 40 ", un canapé et une chaise inclinable électrique et un tapis de qualité. Une table à manger et des chaises complètent l'espace de vie. Le chalet est chaleureux et confortable avec chauffage central. La grande chambre a une belle vue sur les terres agricoles vers Bosley Cloud (colline) qui est le point de repère local. Le lit peut être soit un luxueux lit queen-size, soit converti en lits jumeaux. Une armoire encastrée, des tiroirs en chêne, des tables de chevet en chêne et une coiffeuse d'époque complètent la pièce. Literie et serviettes de qualité sont fournies. La salle de bain a une grande douche, wc, lavabo et sèche-serviettes. Une fenêtre velux crée une salle de bain lumineuse et aérée. Le chalet est situé dans une ferme de moutons et de bœufs en activité entourée de terres agricoles, de ruisseaux et de la rivière Dane. Les clients sont invités à se promener dans les terres agricoles, à pagayer dans les ruisseaux, à pique-niquer et à pêcher dans la rivière - ainsi qu'à profiter des agneaux, des veaux et de la faune dans les champs de la ferme. Les cottages sont idéalement situés sur la route A54 de Congleton à Buxton et à seulement 15 minutes en voiture des jolies villes de Macclesfield, Congleton et Leek et de la ville thermale de Buxton. Le chalet est situé aux confins du Cheshire, du Derbyshire et du Staffordshire et est donc idéalement situé pour visiter les délices des trois comtés. Il est également idéalement situé pour visiter la ville romaine de Chester avec son zoo et son hippodrome, ainsi que les villes animées de Manchester et de Liverpool. De beaux paysages et paysages sont tout autour et pour le promeneur, alors Bosley Cloud, Macclesfield Forest, Teggs Nose, les cafards et la pierre suspendue sont un must. La voile, la pêche, le golf, l'équitation, le VTT et le vélo sont tous à proximité, tout comme une multitude de propriétés du National Trust, des maisons historiques et des jardins fabuleux. Jodrell Bank avec son télescope Lovell et son arbortoreum est à proximité et le parc à thème Alton Towers est également facilement accessible. Le Peak District avec ses charmants villages, ses paysages et ses maisons historiques est également à proximité. Buxton avec son architecture glorieuse, ses jardins de pavillon et son opéra est un incontournable, tout comme la grande maison de Chatsworth connue sous le nom de `` reine des pics '', à environ une heure de route, ce qui est absolument incontournable en tant que `` reine ''. des pics ». Il y a tant à voir et à faire dans ce domaine - pour répondre aux intérêts et aux attentes de chacun. Notre objectif est que vous passiez un merveilleux séjour.

Great little cottage

A very comfortable place to stay and well equipped except for a deeper pan suitable for a stir fry, preferably with a lid. We hope to return as we loved the location, near enough to visit family in Manchester but in lovely countryside.

Visit to Congleton

We were visiting from Canada and needed a place to stay while attending a wedding and visiting friends and relatives. This place provided just what we needed and we can recommend it to others.

A lovely spot in a countryside location. The cottage, on a working farm, was very clean and comfortable and offered everything needed for a short break. The location, to the side of the A54, was not without some traffic noise, but this was more than made up for by the ease of access to nearby market towns, the Peak District and Manchester itself. Farmhouse Cottage is somewhere we'd stay again.

Quiet Haven

Lovely quiet and clean well equiped accomodation . Stayed here for 7 nights in October and had an enjoyable holiday.Close to the peak district in a rural setting.A good base for days out,you need a car you are on a main road with no pavements.

Another great stay

This was our second visit to this delightful cottage. It is very well equipped, good quality saucepans, knives etc in the kitchen. A very comfortable bed, large ensuite shower and an amazing view from the bedroom window. Just up the road there is a lovely walk by the canal.

Pleasant cottage, friendly host, beautiful area

We thoroughly enjoyed our 3-day short break at Colley Farm Cottages. Brenda, the host, was very friendly and welcoming and the cottage was clean and comfortable. The location is great for walking and there are two National Trust properties nearby that are well worth visiting. The only downside from our point of view was a bit of traffic noise from the A54, which runs past the cottages.

Colley Mill Farm

Excellent location for Congleton, Macclesfield, Leek and Stoke on Trent. Very Friendly property manager. The property is very well presented with plenty of room for 2. Very comfortable bed and excellent bathroom and shower. All round we would have no hesitation to recommend.

Charming cottage

Cottage was charming, comfortable, clean and well equipped. However, the location was so bad that we never went out in the evening for fear of not finding the cottage in the dark when we came back.

Absolutely fantastic

Stayed here for 5 nights Fantastic cottage, spotless the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in. Well equipped and great location. We are members of the National Trust and there are plenty of properties with a 30 min drive, Congelton town centre is worth a visit ,nice pedestrian high street only a short drive away . Very easy check in and check out and great communication with the owner Brenda. Definitely recommend you try this cottage I’ll be going back there soon.

Home from home while visiting family

This cute little cottage was perfect for my 9 day stay while visiting my family in the Potteries. Equipped with everything you need! Comfortable bed, quality linens, full size bath sheets (not postage stamp sized towels!) and lovely bistro set outside to sit and admire the stunning view of the Congleton Viaduct and The Cloud. Property owner Brenda was a perfect host. After a long journey from Canada, I arrived to a welcome card, fresh flowers and milk in the fridge with a check in to make sure that everything was ok and was on hand if I needed anything at all. Highly recommended and look forward to my next stay.

Nice winter mini break

Clean and comfortable cottage with huge comfy bed and lovely bathroom. Views over fields to Bosley Cloud . No log fire made although this is stated in description and we had gone to trouble of taking our own logs but there is an electric one which was needed as it was a very cold weekend. Harrington Arms, pub give it a miss awful food. Lovely walks along canal in the winter sunshine.

Thank you for your comments. We're sorry to hear that you were expecting a log fire. We only provide this if asked by our guests - as many people prefer not to have it . We also prefer to use our own 'dried' logs on the fire as we know their origin and moisture levels. If you'd let us know either prior to your visit or when you arrived - we would have been more than happy to organise a log / coal fire inn the cottage for you. Just what the Doctor Ordered

Me and My Partner wanted to spend the New Year (Last Minute) somewhere quieter than usual fancying lots of near by scenic walks and things todo. This is exactly what we got, the cottage was immaculate and situated not too far from the town to pop to shops, pubs and amenities but also short walking distance into various landscapes. Considering the location is on the farm you could hear a pin drop. Bed was incredibly comfy and plenty big enough. Really enjoyed the stay and looking to rebook later in the year , Many Thanks to Brenda and her Family

Charming cottage

This is a lovely little cottage with lots of character and a beautiful view of the Cloud. Everything was provided for a comfortable stay. The property is well placed for walks in the nearby countryside but is also only a short distance from Manchester.
