I’m Hannah Isichei and my family and I started refurbishing Pheasant Lodge in September 2021. When we first found the Lodge, it was tired and needed modernisation. We wanted to add the comforts of the 21st century, whilst keeping the charm of the Georgian and Victorian features that you’ll see around the building. I particularly love the huge windows that look out to the green gardens.

I have family ties in the Lake District and know the area of Cartmel well. There is so much to do and see here and so much to fall in love with. I know you’ll have the most wonderful time. There is a welcome pack in the house where you’ll find recommendations for the area and some further across Cumbria. You’ll be spoilt for choice locally though, so do explore what’s on our doorstep.

Why they chose this property

Located within the picturesque Cartmel Valley, only two miles from the village of Cartmel, Pheasant Lodge is a magnificent and spacious home forming part of a beautiful Georgian mansion.

The Lodge has two double bedrooms, a dining room (the snug), a large lounge, kitchen, utility and views out to the luscious garden from every window.

The house dates to 1710, with our home being built on to the existing house around 1870. Pheasant Lodge is newly refurbished with a luxury feel to make your stay comfortable, homely and relaxing.

The apartment is all on the ground floor, with just two steps in the house. New electric heating has been installed throughout the house with an electric fire in the lounge.

There is private parking for 3 cars at the front of the property on a private driveway and 3 private garden areas for use in your stay.

There is a garden available for your sole use at the front of the house. You can access it from the front door. There is also a lawn to the side of the house surrounded by a low hedge and rose bushes, also for your use.

From the back door you will find a rockery with picnic table and paved area for you to also enjoy.

The sun hits these garden areas at different points of the day, so hopefully you can enjoy the outdoors all day long.

Local attractions include Cartmel Races, Rogan’s *** Michelin restaurants and Cartmel Priory.
