Very disappointing family holiday experience. My husband, our three young children, and I booked this property expecting a relaxing break, but unfortunately it did not meet our expectations.The property did not appear to have been cleaned properly, there was an unpleasant smell throughout, and it felt old and poorly maintained. It was very different from how it was presented in the listing.The most upsetting part of our stay happened on the second night when someone aggressively banged on the kitchen window late in the evening. The noise was loud and frightening, leaving us feeling vulnerable and concerned for our children's safety. We contacted the police but were informed that, due to the bank holiday, they were unable to attend. As a result, neither my husband nor I felt safe enough to sleep.The incident completely changed how we felt about the property, and we decided to leave early and return home. We were disappointed by the owner's response, as there seemed to be little understanding of the distress our family had experienced. Instead, the focus appeared to be on charging an additional 40 pet fee.Based on our experience, I would not stay here again. The cleanliness, condition of the property, frightening incident, and lack of empathy shown afterwards made this a holiday we would rather forget. Families with young children should carefully consider whether this property is suitable for their needs.
