The village of Trunch, just a mile away has a fine medieval church, a corner store with post office and village pub serving food. The seaside village of Mundesley is 2 miles for a sandy beach, and considered one of the best beaches in Norfolk, with a thriving village centre with shops, crazy golf, children’s playground, cafés, pubs and restaurants.

A visit to the quintessential seaside town of Cromer is a must do, with a sandy beach and pier, RNLI working lifeboat station, museum, zoo park, golf course and shops, cafés and restaurants. Dog walkers will welcome the proximity of the Paston Way, 5 minutes on foot, Pigneys Woods, 5 minutes by car and Bacton Woods, 15 minutes by car. The town of North Walsham is 4 miles and offers shops, a monthly farmers market, pubs, cafés, supermarkets and a train station with a service to Norwich city. The cathedral city of Norwich offers two indoor shopping malls, theatre, castle museum, cathedral, market square, cafés and fine restaurants. Wroxham, the capital of the Norfolk Broads is 14 miles for daily boat hire and river trips, waterside restaurants, cafés and shops. Shop and pub within 1 mile.
