Excellent property if you don’t mind walking 30 min to Varene. Great view to the lake, quiet , very clean, good matress and pillows. Ac in every room and well appointed kitchen. We enjoy our stay.

Just ok

Was honestly a little shocked at the state of the place given the pricing. We weren’t able to check in at 4p as stated on the listing. The bathroom door wouldn’t close all the way so luckily I was very familiar with the friend I stayed with. Some panel fell off the wall in the middle of the night which startled us. If you are arriving or leaving by Fiumelatte station, be aware there are multiple levels of cobblestone stairs you will trek. The floors were a bit dusty/dirty and there was a repetitive sound that drove us crazy, not sure if it was a leak or what. Only one of the AC remotes worked which luckily wasn’t an issue for us. Pro’s were that the hosts were fairly responsive, pillows were comfortable, and the view was beautiful. The walk to Varenna is pleasant. Would not stay here again at the current price.

Thank you for your detailed feedback. We're sorry your stay didn't meet expectations. Regarding the 4 PM check-in, we typically ensure prompt access but occasionally face unavoidable delays. Our pricing reflects our prime location and stunning views, which you kindly noted. We're constantly comparing rates with local options to ensure competitiveness. We appreciate your mention of our responsiveness, comfortable pillows, and the pleasant walk to Varenna. These aspects, combined with our ongoing improvements, contribute to our pricing structure. We apologize for any inconvenience and hope you'll give us another chance to provide a better experience in the future.

Fiumelatte Apartment

Clean property with updated kitchen and bathroom. It is furnished with family cast-offs supplemented by cheap Ikea type furniture. All walls and woodwork are slathered in white paint obliterating any and all period details. Insufficient cooking equipment (3 pots), but adequate dishes, cutlery and glasses. The terrace, which is the feature of the apartment, appeared unswept, with dirt and debris apparent, and mops and pails left out. Parking at this location is extremely difficult and if you come without a car there is a 25-40 minute walk to Varenna for services and restaurants. Owner is local and is easy to reach. He answers his phone and is very pleasant.

Merci !

Perfect all around!

Every aspect of this listing & stay was great! The listing is a true depiction of what you’ll get. Spacious, clean, stocked (coffee, towels, linens, dishwashing tablets, etc.). It’s right on the water in town. Management is very responsive and top notch. There is an amazing restaurant next door. It’s roughly a 15-20min easy walk into Varenna where you can visit markets & have further restaurant options. If you want to cook a meal, everything is in the unit. I’d stay here again when I come back to Como!

Beautiful!

Beautiful location in a recently renovated property. Online listing is spot on. Great restaurant next door and not a bad walk to town. Thanks for having us!
