A lovely apartment but cold

The apartment was beautiful, spotless and a good location for us. When we moved in the radiators were on and it was cosy. After about an hour all the radiators went off and never came on again the whole time we were there we were cold the whole time. There was a large towel warmer in the bathroom but it was cold so difficult to dry our towels. Dispite contacting the host several times all he could say was he didn't understand why we were cold! The temperature was set at 20 degrees...we sent him a photo of the temperature gauge with rarely went above 17 or 18 degrees The host said our comfort was important to him.... clearly not enough to turn the heating up!

The heating is controlled by the thermostat in the apartment. When the guests mentioned it was cooler than they were used to, we offered to have additional heaters dropped off for their comfort but they declined.
