Recently-renovated apartment a few steps away from the Parco della Montagnola and the central station of Bologna.



The apartment, located on the third floor reachable with an elevator, opens onto the spacious living area which features a comfortable double sofa bed, a TV, a folding dining table and a breakfast bar. In the same open space you will find an American and fully-equipped kitchen, including an oven, a kettle and an espresso coffee machine; from here it is possible to access the balcony fitted with a table and two chairs. The bright bedroom is provided with a queen-size bed, two nightstands and a spacious wardrobe.

A design bathroom with a large shower completes the apartment.

Bologna is a city of art, culture and trade. The capital of Emilia-Romagna is also known as “Dotta” (erudite), being the oldest university of the West, as “Grassa” (fat) for its gastronomic delights and “Rossa” (red) for the colors characterizing its old town. Its soul is in the medieval old town, one of the biggest in Europe, dotted in taverns, workshops and theaters, characterized by almost 40 km of porticoes. In the city center there is Piazza Maggiore, where the charm of medieval buildings is perfectly combined with modernity. Not to be missed are the Fountain of Neptune by Giambologna and the Medieval Towers, “Torre degli Asinelli” and “Torre della Garisenda”, part of a rich cultural heritage preserved in several museums, art galleries and religious buildings. It is allowed to leave Bologna only after having tried its gastronomic products, among which mortadella, tortellini, ragù alla bolognese while sipping famous DOC wines from the Bologna hills! Rich in exhibitions, fairs and cultural events, Bologna can surprise you in every season.



The central train station is only 500 m away from the apartment, while the airport is easily reachable in a 15-minute drive.

Excellent location, within walking distance of the city center, the station and bus stops. Apartment is small but serviceable, with a new kitchen, soundproof windows and air conditioning. Comfortable and practical.

So much potential

While the apartment is very convenient in its proximity to the railway station and for exploring the city, and is very quiet, the lack of cleaning products, broken furniture, junk on the balcony and very poor state of cleanliness made it an unpleasant experience as a place to stay in an amazing city with so much to offer.

The apartment was as advertised and the bed was very comfortable but there were a few issues.It was a bonus to have the balcony space but it was cluttered with stuff.It wasn’t as clean as it should have been-dusty, dead bugs, dirty oven mitt.The shower drain was so plugged with hair that I had to remove it so the shower didn’t overflow.Lastly there were repairs being done on another apartment which entailed noise over 3 days ( drilling, banging) sometimes so loud we had to leave to have a conversation. One morning the noise started at 8:30 am.For these reasons I would not stay here again.

Close to train station and amenities. Apartment was clean and the girl who met us with the keys was lovely and patient as our flight was an hour late. She explained everything in the apartment. There were a few maintenance issues in the apartment when we arrived and somebody came to fix these the following day. There were a few other little things like the kitchen tap was loose and the shower head leaked which are small things but repairing them would make a difference.

Nice location just needs upkeep

The apartment is conveniently located to all the tourist sites, I just had to give it less stars because of the cleanliness. The sheets were clean, but the additional bedding had stains on it, there was a used sock next to the couch (who knows how long it's been there) and it doesn't seem like anyone has paid attention to the stains on the walls. The kitchen faucet is almost detached. The instructions told us to make sure the dishes are done, but there's no dish soap. The apartment just needs a little attention.

Perfect Location Close to Grocery, Bus & Train

We spent 6 nights in this very nice apartment in early June 2024. It has all that we needed including a washing machine and 2 drying racks. There is also a dishwasher. The bed is very comfortable and there are plenty of extra pillows. The apartment has air conditioning in both the main room and bedroom and works very well. The small balcony is nice for a view of the street and trees below. The location is a short walk to the main bus & train terminal which made day trips very easy and getting to and from the airport a breeze with the dedicated airport train. There is a COOP grocery store across the circle and several good restaurants close by plus a Gelateria just down the street. Favorite restaurant is II Veliero for pasta, pizza & seafood. We ate there several times during our stay and the food and prices were much better than in the touristy areas. We would stay here again.

Gramsci Stay in Bologna

Location is good, 15 minute walk to city center with ample shops nearby. Apartment just okay though. Wide angle lenses do it much justice. Much smaller than it appears, especially the bathroom. Larger persons may have difficulty using the toilet. Terrace is a storage area with no table or chairs during our stay. Bed is comfortable but light fixture in bedroom flickered and needs repair. Shade on bathroom window broken so no light could come in. Only 1 bath towel per person provided, so if on a long stay you might want to bring extra towels. Overall, decent place but bare bones and would not return.

Die Lage könnte besser sein, nachts haben vor unserer Haustür die Obdachlosen geschlafen und es hat oft nach Orin gestunken.
