Perfect family holiday

We had the best holiday in this lovely apartment. Salvo, Debora and Irene were the perfect hosts, generous and helpful. They made sure we had everything we needed and nothing was too much trouble. The place is beautiful, perfect for children as it is safe and enclosed. Our boys loved riding Peppino the donkey and milking the goat and collecting eggs. Molly the family dog was a star! The area was lovely, easy access to shops, bars, cafes, beach etc. Perfect to visit etna, Taormina and surrounding area. We loved the gorge at Alcantara. We cannot wait to return next year! Thank you Debora, Salvo and Irene for such a wonderful time! X

Propiedad muy bonita,bien...

Propiedad muy bonita,bien cuidada y perfectamente limpia ubicada dentro de un predio donde también viven los propietarios. Muy buena ubicación en entorno tranquilo. Se encuentra a cinco minutos de la playa y cerca de importantes atractivos de la zona (Taormina, Savoca, Etna, Catania). El lugar es muy agradable y cómodo. En el patio hay barbacoa, un huerto y se disponen de bicicletas para paseos. El interior cómodo y la cocina completamente equipada para quien gusta de cocinar. Lo único que lamentamos es no habernos quedado más tiempo. El punto extra y más importante lo ponen los propietarios. Te dan una bienvenida inolvidable, brindan toda la información sobre la zona, están en todos los detalles y te hacen sentir como en casa. Más que como huéspedes hemos sido tratados como amigos y nos hemos sentido como tales. Recomiendo fervorosamente el lugar y volveríamos sin ninguna duda.

A little sicilian oasis

We spent two weeks with our 8-year-old daughter at Borgo Borghese and felt very comfortable there. The hosts are just wonderful - always approachable, nice and very helpful. Once they invited us to prepare pizzas in the outdoor oven together with the other two families who spent their holidays there. Another day we went for a walk through the mountain village of Savoca - together with the donkey ladies Gina and Catarina. Great! The apartments are lovingly furnished, each has its own terrace, but one can also use the big garden that has a large table, play equipment and a (small) swimming pool - see pictures (although even nicer in reality). We sat there very often ... We also enjoyed cooking with fresh vegetables from the garden, and of course our daughter loved the animals around: a pony, two donkeys, chickens, turkeys and the family dog ​​Molly. We can highly recommend this place and would love to spend another holiday there soon. Two weeks are too short for Sicily ....

Excellent séjour!

Nous avons passé une semaine inoubliable Chez Salvo, Déborah et Iréna. Ils sont très accueillants et chaleureux. Salvo est toujours disponible pour toute question et conseils. Il y a des ânes, un poney, des poules, des chèvres et chevreaux et Molly le chien. Salvo propose une sortie avec ses ânes au village de Savocca, le village au 17 églises. C'est un moment magnifique. Salvo nous fait découvrir ce village avec beaucoup de passion. Nous étions à 10mn à pied de la mer, 5mn à pied de la boulangerie et 10mn des commerces. Taormina, ville magnifique (Théâtre, vue sur l'Etna, rue piétonnes), ainsi que Syracuse. Nous sommes allés à l'Etna, son sommet est enneigé à cette période. Plage de Isola Bella à Taormina.... Encore merci à Salvo et sa famille. Nous reviendrons surement!

Fantastico! Veniamo volentieri un'altra volta!

We stayed in Borgo Borghese for one week end of June/beginning of July. We got a very warm welcome and felt very well looked after. Everything was perfect and even better then expected! The owner family was very kind and helpful and our whole family (incl. 2 kids) enjoyed the stay in this very special place. Mille grazie per la vostra ospitalita é assistenza. Veniamo volentieri un'altra volta!

hier hat alles gepasst, schönes Zimmer, supernette Gastgeber, das Wetter. Wenn es sich ergibt, bucht die Eseltour und das Kochen in Savoca, es war ein wunderschöner und lehrreicher Tag.

sehr freundlich und sehr hübsch eingerichtete Wohnungen

ein toller Aufenthalt bei einer sehr gastfreundlichen Familie. Die Wohnungen befinden sich etwas abseits vom Trubel der Stadt/der Kleinstadt. Mit den bereitgestellten Fahrrädern ist aber das Meer und Einkaufmöglichkeiten sehr gut erreichbar

Toller Familienurlaub bei tollen Gastgebern

Ein sehr schöner erholsamer Aufenthalt bei super netten Gastgebern. Ideal für Familien mit kleinen Kindern wegen der vielen Tiere. Jeder Wunsch wird einem von den Lippen abgelesen, gerne kommen wir wieder.

Toller Familienurlaub

Eine sehr schöne Unterkunft um als Familie Urlaub zu machen. Eine tolle Wohnung und sehr freundliche Gastgeber welche einem alle Wünsche von den Lippen ablesen. Ideal für Kinder, viele Tiere und auch sehr gut für Ausflüge ins Umland geeignet. Sehr zu empfehlen, das war nicht der letzte Urlaub da.

Excellent hosts and very well located for sightsee

We had the most wonderful time staying with Salvo, Deborah and their beautiful daughter. They are truly the most welcoming and helpful hosts we have ever stayed with. The property is located in a beautiful country setting with all the amenities needed for a pleasant stay. They provided us with some essential items as well as some lovely fresh produce from their home grown vegetable & here garden. Our children were so welcomed and always made to feel involved by feeding the donkey or goats or collecting fresh eggs whenever we needed them. They also surprised me with a beautiful Silicain cake for my birthday which they only found out about on the day. Would highly recommend this property especially if you have children.

We had a wonderful stay at Debora and Salvo' s house. The apartment was very clean, very calm and cosy. We enjoyed our terrace for our meals. Debora and Salvo have been very kind, very happy to guide us for our excursions and very helpful (as our car broke down). The kids enjoyed each day there, they quickly became friends with their daughter, happily helped Salvo with feeding the animals, picked up fresh eggs and fresh vegetables from the garden, rode bikes and had a lot of fun riding Peppino, their donkey. It is very well located: you have the countryside, the mountains and the beach at the same time. And it is a short distance from a lot of touristic points: Taormina, Savoca, Etna, Syracuse.... We highly recommend their house and we hope to visit them again soon. Thank you for making our stay so memorable.

A marvellous stay for adults and children

Following a wonderful stay in San Vito Lo Capo we wanted a more country like location and found Debora and Salvo's house. We had a delightful stay in the middle of a colourful and peaceful house. Debora and Salvo were the best Sicilian guests we dreamt of. Above all we appreciated all the little plus provided by Debora and Salvo such as fresh potatoes from the garden, new beans, leaves of fresh organic salad... and the utmost attraction: Pepino the donkey and his friend Diana the goat! Salvo also took us for a big walk with Pepino and our 2 kids (3 and 6 years old) to the lovely village of Savoca where most of the Godfather shooted. Don't hesitate, come to this lovely place and enjoy their lovely owners. Manuel & Laurine

Tolle Wohnung mit sehr herzlichen Vermietern

Wir hatten die Wohnung Mai 2016 für 4 Nächste gebucht und wurden trotz später Ankunft überaus herzlich von den zwei vermietern Debora und Salvo empfangen. Die nächsten Tage durfte unsere Tochter jeweils morgens und abends auf einem der zwei Esel Gina und Peppino reiten, und auch das tägliche Ausführen der Tiere auf den Weideplatz war ein täglichen Highlight, und das nicht nur für unsere Tochter. Auch die Versorgung der kleinen Ziege Stella mit dem Milchfläschchen zählte zu den täglichen Höhepunkten. Die überaus warmherzigen Vermieter versorgten uns täglich mit frischen Eiern aus dem eigenen Hühnerstall und auch über den selbst hergestellte Wein, den Limoncello und das Oliveröl aus eigenem Anbau und auch Zucchini aus dem eigenen Garten freuten wir uns sehr. Bei Ausflügen standen uns Debora und Salvo immer wieder gerne mit Rat und Tat hlifreich zur Seite, sodass wir schliesslich wehmütig wie noch nie am Ende eines Aufenthaltes weitergereist sind. Wir werden definitiv wiederkommen und dann freuen wir uns auch auf eine der ganztägigen Wanderungen mit den Eseln, die wir aus zeitlichen Gründen leider nicht unternehmen konnten. Die Gegend bietet Ausflüge zum Ätna, nach Taormina oder Catania, schöne Bergdörfer rund um San Allesio Siculo (wo sich die Wohnung befindet) oder auch einfach Urlaub am Strand, der sich in ca. 1km Entfernung von der Wohnung befindet. Die Wohnung (wir hatten die größere der drei Einzelwohnungen) war sauber und sehr geräumig, und alles ist vorhanden, was benötigt wird. Das WLAN ist schnell und über Sat-TV können auch deutsche Programme (ARD und ZDF) empfangen werden. Die Anlage insgesamt verfügt über kostenlose Leihfahrräder und ist sehr kinderfreundlich eingerichtet. Man kann vom Kindersitz, über Kinderwagen, Fahrrad Helm usw. alles kostenlos ausleihen und auf dem Areal sind auch reichlich Spielmöglichkeiten für Kinder vorhanden, wie z.B. ein Sandkasten, Trampolin, Hängematte und diverse Kinder Fahrzeuge.

liebevoll eingerichtetete Wohnung, nette Vermieter

Wir haben mit 4 Erwachsenen die größere der 3 Ferienwohnungen (Rosa dei venti) eine Woche lang bewohnt. Gestaltung, Einrichtung und liebevolle Dekorierung einfach traumhaft - und noch um Welten schöner als auf den Fotos ersichtlich. Total liebe, nette und hilfsbereite Vermieterfamilie. Auch unsere Ankunft nach 23 Uhr (Anreise mit eigenem Fahrzeug und Fähre Genua-Palermo) war glücklicherweise kein Problem. Tolle Lage mit großem eigenen Garten, schönem Innenhof, Esel, Ziegen, Hühner und ringsum weitere Gartenanlagen mit Zitronen-, Oliven- und Orangenbäumen. Wer das Auto auch gerne mal stehen läßt, ist auch zu Fuß in wenigen Minuten beim Bäcker (Bäckerin spricht deutsch), in ca. 15 - 20 Minuten auf einem schönen Schotter-Fußweg den Fluß entlang auch am Strand oder in der Stadtmitte mit allen Einkaufs- und Einkehrmöglichkeiten. Die Stadt Sant' Alessio selbst ist jetzt nicht so schön, hat auch kein eigentliches Ortszentrum, aber in der Umgebung, vor allem in den Bergen, gibt es wirklich wunderschöne Ortschaften, die man wie Savoca auch per Wanderung zu Fuß erreichen kann. Der Vermieter Salvo hat etliche Wandertouren in der näheren Umgebung ausgekundschaftet und ist bei der Tourenplanung gerne behilflich. Auch Fahrräder stehen zur Verfügung. Neben einem Pflichtbesuch in Taormina (teuer und viel zu viele Touristen) haben wir auch eine Nostalgie-Zugfahrt mit der Ferrovia Circumetnea rund um den Ätna sowie eine größere Wanderung durch Lava und über Nebenkrater des Ätna nahe Bronte gemacht. Denke, das war schöner und eindrucksvoller, als den teuren Massenaufmarsch auf dem Gipfel selbst mitzumachen. Sowohl Sizilien als auch die Wohnung würden wir jederzeit wieder besuchen. Noch ein Tipp für Urlauber, die sich auch überlegen, mit eigenem Auto anzureisen: Fähre von Genua ist eine empfehlenswerte Alternative, sehr komfortabel fast auf Kreuzfahrtniveau und eigentlich gar nicht so teuer. Wegen oftmals maroder Straßen (Schlaglöcher, Wellen, Absenkungen oft ganzer Straßenteile auch auf Autobahnen - vor allem Autobahn Palermo Messina - Catania) solle das Fahrzeug genügend Bodenfreiheit aufweisen, um nicht öfter mal aufzusitzen.

Formidable

Nous avons passer des bonnes vacances chez salvo et Déborah.Un accueil exceptionnel avec les légumes du jardin,les œufs des poules fraîchement pondu ainsi que le vin bio fait par salvo qui vous attendent direct à votre arrivée.franchement la maison au dessus de nos attente , nous avons passé 2 semaines formidable avec notre fille de 3 ans.adresse à recommande avec des enfants . Merci encore à salvo et Déborah .

un accueil de très grande qualité

Debora et Salvo aiment recevoir et faire découvrir leur région. Cela se sent et se traduit par un confort et une qualité relationnelle très appréciable. Au delà de la qualité de l'appartement, légumes et fruits du jardin, vélos à disposition, conseils avisés et promenades accompagnées dans les collines alentour rendent le séjour très agréable et riche en découvertes. Les appartements construits dans l'ancienne écurie sont aménagés avec goût. Les extérieurs permettent de vivre facilement en plein air. Malgré un temps peu conforme au standard sicilien, notre séjour a été rendu excellent par la gentillesse des propriétaires du Borgo Borghese. C'est vraiment une très belle adresse. Frédéric et Nadine

Meravigliosamente Siculo!!!

La casa corrisponde perfettamente alla descrizione, gli appartamenti sono completi di ogni accessorio e soprattutto molto puliti e ben sistemati. La corte esterna è ampia e confortevole, con possibilità di accedere all'orto, pieno di ottime prelibatezze e ai barbecue. Le biciclette sono sempre abbondanti e disponibili per utilizzare la pista ciclabile che corre proprio appena fuori dal cancello, fino al mare. Infine la nota più gradevole...i proprietari: Salvo e Debora, persone che definire fantastiche sarebbe poco. La loro competenza nel campo alberghiero e la loro ospitalità, nella migliore tradizione siciliana, ne fanno il punto di forza e il motivo per cui andando via, sarete veramente dispiaciuti!!! Grazie a loro potrete trascorrere uno splendido soggiorno e se vorrete delle belle esperienze legate alla vita di campagna anche in compagnia della new entry Peppino!!!

Nous avons été admirablem...

Nous avons été admirablement bien reçus par Salvo et debora (et l'adorable irene) qui nous ont bien gaté, conseillé. Le gite est superbe, très calme, bien aménagé,très propre et très bien situé pour visiter cette région de la Sicile. Nous ne gardons que de très bons souvenirs !! merci.......A bientôt!

Magnifique séjour à tout ...

Magnifique séjour à tout point de vue. Hôtes qui se démènent pour vous; endroit stratégique pour accéder à Catane, Etna, Messine, Taormine; grandes plages de sable noir; glaciers magnifiques. Et compliments à Salvo et Sabrina qui sont discrets et très présents quand il le faut. Il faut noter la présence d'un potager à votre disposition, d'un chien hyper affectueux genre "Belle et Sébastien", d'un âne. Bref, très bonne adresse. Allez-y. Gare à proximité: achetez les billets à l'avance.

"sommes restés seulement 2 nuits mais cette location très bien située pour rayonner et pour profiter de la mer permet d''y rester une semaine sans problème. Environnement calme, Salvo et Debora sont très attentifs et de très bon conseil, accueil chaleureux .Appartement soigné, literie de bonne qualité, terrasse et jardin avec barbecue, vélo à disposition. The owners of the property were very helpful, generous and made us feel very welcome. They have good knowledge of local surroundings and places to visit + posted events and activities of interest every day. We will definitely return at some point.

"Nous avons passé un excellent séjour chez Salvo et Débora. L''accueil a été très chaleureux, nous nous sommes sentis comme chez nous. Notre enfant de 3 ans a pu jouer avec Irene quelques fois, et profiter du jardin en fin de journée ou lors de petits déjeuners extérieurs, même fin octobre! Je vous recommande cette adresse les yeux fermés!"

"Nous avons passé un excellent moment chez Debora et Salvo qui nous ont accueillis comme des amis. Nous nous sommes tout de suite sentis "comme à la maison" grâce à leur gentillesse, leur disponibilité et leurs multiples attentions. Nous espérons revenir pour continuer à découvrir cette magnifique région qu''est la Sicile."
