Unique Villa in Mykonos with Direct Beach Access

Nestled between the hills and the sea, next to a wild beach cove, just inside the nature reserve that stretches between Panormos, Ftelia, Marathi, Agios Sostis, and the hill of Profitis Ilias Church, is one of Mykonos’s most unique villas.

Ftelia is a famously windy bay, but the layout of Citadel is as a courtyard with well kept gardens and a beautiful tree, with especially high walls to the North which block the majority of the wind. With 4 different areas where you can dine & 5 different areas where you can lounge, there is plenty of shade and shelter to be found. Every corner of this property has been made comfy and homely by the families that have lived here.

Even the saltwater pool is a piece of Mykonos history! It is the first EVER pool to be constructed in Mykonos and is kept in its original 70’s style. Many famous people have had art shows, fashion expositions and launch events at the property over the years. You can bask in the pool knowing you are sharing a space with some of the true glitterati of Mykonos.

The kitchen and laundry areas are fully equipped and in communal style, set aside from the bedrooms so essentially there is no main house, but more like a cluster of individual apartments around the pool, the tree, the garden and the kitchen which is ideal so as not to disturb each other.

There is a small hidden beach just on the edge of the property down a beautiful path directly from the house. Sheltered from wind and waves. It boasts some absolutely fascinating rock formations that look like they should be on Mars! Relax, dip, paddle, snooze, have lunch, read a book & go for a swim, all without seeing a soul!

Being an engineer of urban planning and regional development, as well as a graduate of real estate management & economics, academically I was intrigued in interfering with the property market. However, the virus came in after many years of travelling and experiencing hospitality from every possible angle like traveller, guest, host, captain, couch surfer (oldies), hostel crasher, amateur guide and ... now property manager.

The past years, I have been managing along with a wider family and friends a plethora of properties, from fully furnished city apartments to beachfront houses in Halkidiki or even luxurious pool villas in Mykonos. Still though our main aim is to make guests feel like home and this is the reason we try to provide a friendly approach with custom tips for every single location of our properties. Efficient customer service & supreme guests' satisfaction is the ultimate objective, particularly when it's your holidays time.

It began as a small shepherd’s home perched on a rock, but has passed through the loving hands of several families who have grown both its beauty and utility with inspired touches over generations.

This is a perfectly maintained property in a classic island style but with modern fixtures and fittings. A true taste of Mykonos & Greece, without compromising on quality.

この宿泊施設の特徴

One of the greatest assets of your stay at Citadel is the live-in housekeeper. She is a veteran of Mykonos and is able to help with everything you need. General cleaning, breakfast preparation (not ingredients) & bed linen are included in her duties. Should you want her to cook extra meals, do personal laundry or go shopping to fill the fridge then these can be arranged as extras. Or if you want something really fancy, we can arrange a chef/waiters for your stay. We are happy to make sure the fridge is stocked with the basics upon your arrival so you are not left wanting on your first night or morning. You just need to send us a simple list in advance.
