About this property
Luxury 3 Bed Canal House, Little Venice
Summary:
This stunning property is the historic, heritage-listed lock keeper’s cottage located where the Regent’s Canal meets the Grand Union Canal in Little Venice, London. Built in the early 1800s, the house was constructed to house the keeper responsible for managing the lock on the Regent’s Canal at the Warwick Avenue Bridge. Over the years, it’s unique canal-side position has become a notable feature of the area's architectural heritage and contributes to the unique charm of Little Venice.
The Space:
The house boasts a sophisticated and modern interior design with an emphasis on natural materials and warm tones. The open-plan living area features high ceilings, a fireplace, creating a bright and airy atmosphere & large windows and French doors that flood the space with natural light and offer stunning views of the canal.
The kitchen is fully equipped with state-of-the-art appliances and sleek cabinetry. The bedrooms are comfortable, with soft lighting & plenty of storage space.
The master bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with a luxurious shower over the marble bath, while the second bedroom has access to a separate ensuite bathroom with modern fixtures.
The second bedroom can be set up with a king-size bed or two singles. Downstairs, there is a second sitting room with a pull-out sofa bed (with a sprung mattress), that can be set up as a third bedroom along with a hidden vanity and shower room. If you would like to use this, please let us know prior to your stay. Each bedroom includes a desk.
The house has three wall-mounted smart TVs along with Sonos in the main living room. The house also includes an outdoor terrace, which will provide a relaxing and inviting atmosphere on the banks of the Regent’s Canal.
The interior design throughout the house is consistent, with carefully chosen artwork and decorative accents that enhance the overall aesthetic.
Guest Access:

The Neighborhood:
Little Venice is a picturesque area in London, known for its canals and houseboats. The name "Little Venice" was coined by the poet Robert Browning, who lived in the area in the 19th century and was reminded of the canals of Venice, Italy.
The property, situated on the banks of the Regent's Canal, provides a charming route for walking, cycling, and boating across London. Little Venice is a hub for boat trips and canal cruises, allowing visitors to explore the scenic waterways and experience the unique charm of the area from a different perspective. The canal routes extend beyond Little Venice, taking passengers to other notable locations like Camden Lock and the London Zoo. We would recommend you visit Café Laville where you will be able to have a glorious view down the canal or enjoy a pint at The Waterway with its outdoor terrace overlooking the beautiful Grand Union Canal.
Little Venice and Maida Vale offers a peaceful and idyllic retreat in the heart of London, combining the beauty of its waterways with the vibrant atmosphere of a thriving neighborhood. A short distance down the canal is Paddington Basin, which is home to several trendy bars and restaurants. The area has a strong arts and cultural scene, with several galleries and music venues, including the famous Abbey Road Studios where The Beatles recorded many of their albums. It also boasts the oldest and most beautiful garden centre in London, Clifton Nurseries.
Getting Around:
The nearest Tube station is Warwick Avenue (Bakerloo Line) which is just a 2 minute walk. For national rail and other tube services (including the new Elizabeth Line and the Heathrow Express) Paddington Station is just a 12 minute walk along the beautiful and peaceful Paddington basin canal. There are also plenty of bus routes accessible from Paddington Station.
Other Things to Note:
Please note that we provide small bottles of shampoo, shower gel, soap, moisturiser and loo roll for the beginning of all our guest stays and once the products are finished, we kindly ask our guests to provide their own thereafter.
Please note the property will be prepared by our professional cleaners, using hotel-quality linen and towels.
If the booking is 14 days or more, we require a mid-stay clean at an additional cost (the price is dependent on property size). Payment will be taken at the time of the booking and the mid-stay clean includes both a clean and linen change.
We can also arrange any additional cleans regardless of the length of the booking upon request.
Please note that check-in is between 3pm and 8pm. Early and late check-ins as well as late check-outs are available on request for an additional fee.
Where a check in is on a UK bank holiday, there may be an additional surcharge on the cleaning fee as well as an additional cost for a personal check-in. Please enquire for additional information on this when booking.
The lead guest booking the property must be 25+ years old.
