We had a restful, quiet, calming stay at this secluded, up to the end of the winding road, coastal forest, rustic, cozy home. A cook's kitchen with quality kitchenware and plenty of other thoughtful amenities. Queen bed was comfortable and the single loft bed was also of good quality. The loft, and its access, was more of a challenge than we expected and seems appropriate for very able bodied or most younger guests (our teenager was fine) but would not be wise for very young children. Living room space perfect for our family of 3. Good reading lights over the queen bed and corner chair living room as well were appreciated. Wrap-around deck provides pretty outdoor living space and a clear view of the Russian River with a more distant glimpse of the ocean. There were exceptional bird viewing opportunities for nature lovers like us all around. A nice walk down the road gets you to the river's edge with restaurants and cafes. Hosts very responsive and helpful. Our stay coincided with Covid-19 concerns. House phone was a key contact tool and their advice about a having a calling card is pertinent where there was no cell phone service. The hottub was perfect and set in a pretty part of the garden, private and therapeutic after hiking the Jenner Headland Preserve. We highly recommend this vacation home and hope to return someday!
Remote and lovely
What an awesome site for a couples weekend! Beautiful, quiet, comfortable, isolated. Take yourself a break from the phones and internets. Soak in the hot tub and drink a glass of wine. Go for a walk on the coast. This is an excellent location to do it.
The Haven is Heavenly
We love this place ! The location is perfect, close to beaches, nice restaurants, cute little shops.
The house is perfect. Very clean and well stocked with everything you would need, all the comfort of home. The owners are very kind, and although we didn't have a need, they are available for any questions or concerns. We were given a very detailed list of places to go for everything from places to eat, places to shop, even a place to do laundry. This is a wonderful place to relax, reflect, and reconnect. It was special to my husband and I 17 yrs ago, and was just as special to us this past weekend. We plan to make staying here a yearly tradition. Thank you so much for sharing your little piece of Heaven 🤗
A quiet slice of paradise, perfect for couples or small families.
My wife and I love the Jenner Haven. We've tried to stay there once a year since our first trip out of town together to The Haven back when we were dating. We just had our first trip out of town with our newborn and chose the Haven. We were happy to see the property and cabin was still excellent. Clean, well maintained, very comfortable. It appears they're working on a small add-on which I'm excited to see the results of.
We'll stay again at least once a year.
Relaxing, secluded cabin

About Carrie Kozubal
We are Sonoma County locals who love to celebrate living in one of the most spectacular places on the planet with our kids. Though we are not able to spend nearly as much time at the coast as we would like to, we are happy to share this little piece of paradise with our guests.
Carrie Kozubal purchased this Cabin in 2003
Why Carrie Kozubal chose Jenner
We both love being near the ocean, and knew that we would live at the coast 'someday.' We were not in the market for a house, much less a vacation home, when Carrie visited this home with a friend and fell in love with it. When we found out a short time later that it would be available to purchase, we jumped at the opportunity. We were just in the right place at the right time.
What makes this Cabin unique
The most special part of The Haven to us is the spirit/mojo/vibe of the place. The home was designed and built by an architect who had owned this land for many years before building the house as his own retreat, so it was built with an incredible awareness of/sensitivity to the surroundings. It is private, intimate, relaxing, and invigorating. We love sitting in the hot-tub at night (especially in the rain), and listening to the waves crashing and the stream rushing by. We love having breakfast in the morning and wine and cheese in the afternoon with the hummingbirds. We love that this is a place that our dogs and kids enjoy as much as we do!
