The house has 3 bedrooms with 5 beds in a two storey Cottage with a private garden to fit up to 9 guests. comfortably. It is ideal base for nature lovers, mountaineers, families or groups of friends. You don't need a car to arrive there, its 2-3 mins walking from Portree main bus station!

Time on Portree

Nice property but poor management. Several issues arose during our stay. We made several attempts to contact the property manager but never received a response or acknowledgement.

Perfect for Portree

Group of friends stayed in Portree for the weekend and we could not have had better accommodations. House is a great location, easily walkable to everything downtown but on a cozy and private street away from the crowds. Highly recommend to anyone traveling to Portree!

Adequate But Needs Some Refreshing

We were looking for a rental house in the Isle of Skye area and found choices to be limited. While this place wasn't awful, we would try to find something else if we ever return to this area. Good things: Easy walk down the road into Portree for restaurants and shopping. Had a dedicated parking space for your vehicle. Has a washer/dryer combo unit (in a kitchen cabinet; hard to find). Not-so-good things: No communication with Host; only received an day-of email with check-in instructions. It's always nice to get some communication to know that you're expected. Property could have been cleaner. The non-stick coating on the pots and pans has been flaking off for quite some time. We did not feel safe using them; needs a complete replacement. Beds mattresses were hard. The shower drains were partially plugged causing water to flow all of the bathroom floor. I ended up pulling them out and the water drained better. Other things to note: We had no use for a hot tub and workout equipment. While there is a washer/dryer combo unit, there are no instructions on how to use it and we ended up washing a load a second time instead of drying it. There is no central air flow; the upstairs bedroom gets all of the heat making it uncomfortable. The whole unit needs better labeling and instructions on how to use the amenities.
