À propos de cet hébergement

Une belle carlingue de notation dans les bois, sur un lac (Pontoosuc), pourtant près de tout

C'est une maison originale de Lincoln Logs, nichée dans près de trois acres de bois privé, avec 100 pieds de façade sur le lac.

Pas de bateaux à moteur bruyant à cette extrémité du lac, juste beaucoup d'animaux sauvages et un canot ou un kayak occasionnel.

Un canoë artisanal est prêt pour votre plaisir.
Belle vue sur le feuillage d'automne et très proche des stations de ski de Jiminy Peak et de Bousquet. La maison est disponible pendant la saison de ski. Le nouveau poêle à granulés de bois Harman garde la maison bien au chaud, même les jours les plus froids!

Cabine peut accueillir cinq personnes, avec un lit queen dans la chambre principale, un lit double journal et un matelas pneumatique double dans le grenier et un canapé-lit double dans la tanière. Beaucoup de ventilateurs de plafond pour vous garder au frais et le poêle à granulés Harman pour la chaleur de l'hiver. Il y a aussi un poêle à bois Franklin original (bois fourni) pour les feux romantiques. Cuisine bien équipée et linge de maison. Une cuisinière à gaz Glenwood des années 1920 dans la cuisine. Grand téléviseur dans la tanière avec beaucoup de films à regarder. Dix par dix ont regardé Gazebo directement sur l'eau avec un foyer et des hamacs honduriens à proximité.

The house is a perfect place for a relaxing stay, near the water, and close to everything in the area, yet removed enough to feel like you're in the middle of the forest. John was excellent to communicate with, and we look forward to coming back in the future.

Great cabin on the lake with loads of amenities and welcoming touches. It was just me visiting a colleague but this is a great place for a group retreat or family fun as well as a peaceful place for someone traveling solo. Excellent and communicative host and I really enjoyed my time here.

Can not compliment the owners enough they go above and beyond, to make sure you have everything you can possibly think of 4 a comfortable stay. So much to do here, but yet it is so relaxing. Definitely looking to return soon. was sad to go.

The cabin was perfectly located for a week of exploring the Berkshires and southern Vermont. It is centrally located in the region, but feels private because it is surrounded by trees and set back from the road. It was the best stocked kitchen I've had in a rental. Relaxing by the pond was very peaceful; I particularly enjoyed the hammocks. Kayaks and a canoe were available. The cabin was spotless.

Beyond expectation - a hidden Gem

I could not be more satisfied with the experience we had during our short stay. It was actually very nice to be more in the quiet Cove vs the main lake area… Paddling via canoe or kayak to the main lake area and swimming off of the island there was quite special.

Great visit to the Berkshires. The house is setback from the road and you have great privacy but also very convenient. Easy access to all the Berkshires attractions.

Cozy cabin on the lake. So many activities including kayaking, canoeing and just floating. Very private location but close enough that restaurants deliver. Easy to get down to the lake from the cabin, even for seniors. Full entertainment areas at the waterfront. I hosted a dinner for twelve with no problem. Owner is great and available if you need him

The cabin was very well stocked with food, essentials and even a bottle of local wine and local beers. We really enjoyed our stay. Any questions we had were answered promptly.

Tucked out of the way. Idyllic. Outfitted with anything you could want or need. As a family we have stayed at many short term rentals over the years and can say that we have never felt anything more home like--as in it could have Uncle John's camp from childhood. Really lovely.

Cozy cabin

We loved our stay! Great, cozy, well maintained, cabin with lots of privacy. Our kids loved sleeping in the loft and had a blast playing into the shallow water by the dock.

The house John allowed is to stay in is very beautiful and very cozy. My family had a wonderful time and we plan on staying here again in the future!

My late wife Jill and I built this cabin in 2009 with her family's log chalet (in the Adirondacks) in mind. We were married 23 wonderful years and for many of them we ran a small Bed-N-Breakfast in Pittsfield named "The American House". For most of my career I have been a Chef in the Berkshires but I now work part time in the area during my recent retirement. I look forward to helping you have the time of your life here!
