My daughter and I truly enjoyed our stay here. The house was very clean and roomy and well furnished. It's located close to Munising and Pictured Rocks, so we were near all the activities that we wanted to do - boat cruises, trails, waterfalls, shopping and restaurants, etc. And the garage parking was wonderful and greatly appreciated. Highly recommended.

The property is in a great location. My family was only a few miles from kayaking, beaches, tours and waterfalls. Munising is within 15 minutes, where we did the Pictured Rocks cruise and shipwreck tour. There is not internet, but in the end that was perfect for my grandsons. We played cards and catch and enjoyed reading on the beautiful balcony.

Although it has great potential there are a few items that should be addressed:1. 2 out of 3 smoke detectors didn’t work2. Automatic door lock didn’t work. Unable to secure our belongings when we left.3. Fire place didn’t work, main source of heat.Knob that operated baseboard heat in bedroom broken4. Water heater did not provide enough hot water to accommodate the number of guests.5. Cleanliness! Flies dead and alive everywhere! There were tons of them.6. Some towels were stained and smelled musty.

This property is best suited to people who want to be disconnected. No TV or Internet. 2 Verizon bars though. Quarter mile trip up a dirt road, which could get bad if raining. 2 flights of stairs must be negotiated, carrying your luggage. Very quiet and peaceful though. Get ice before you arrive. No door on upstairs bathroom.

The property had no heat and we were told that she would have propane delivered. The installer showed up with the owners real estate agent and two buyers. They just walked in without ringing the doorbell. The kitchen was dirty. Crumbs everywhere. The space between the oven and the counter was filled with food. Dirty dishes in the dishwasher and old coffee in the coffee maker. Food crumbs on all surfaces and the frig. Towels in the bathrooms had been folded wet. Not sure if the sheets were clean. No TV or wifi. It was clear that she is selling the house and cut a lot of corners on our rental.

Sorry no AC, or TV. The 1500. deposit was pulled from our credit card 2 months ahead of our booking and was kept until 2 weeks after we checked out. Not pending pulled and paid, a total of 2 1/2 months. A little dusting, sweeping sand, and window cleaning would go a long way, other wise not bad. We were warned the road in was washed out before we checked in. Location is remote and area was quiet. It was warmer than usual in August a AC unit probably isn't needed all the time but it made it hard for us to sleep. Alot of nice features but not fully prepared as a rental.

Charming Log Home

We really enjoyed our stay at the home. It has everything you might need for a very comfortable stay. We also enjoyed the deck and hot tub and views of Lake Superior

Great location

Very nice place located extremely close to pictured rocks. Had another very nice beach a couple miles away. Couldn’t be more pleased with the place.

Family stay

Property was beautiful. The home was clean, comfortable, and well stocked. The owner was very helpful and patient. If you're looking for an up north family get away, this place is great. I would stay again!

What a perfect property for our stay in Pictured Rocks!! Tricia has the home set up perfectly for your stay, it’s like a home away from home!! Tons of space for your entire family!! And the location is perfect, secluded but yet still very close to all the activities in Munising!!
