Laura’s Cottage was one of the highlights of our trip to the Azores. From the outside, the home has a beautiful traditional rustic stone appearance that feels authentic to the island, while the inside is fresh, modern, and incredibly comfortable. The contrast between the charming exterior and the beautifully updated interior made the stay feel truly special.The shower was amazing after long days of hiking and exploring — the oversized rainfall showerhead and endless steamy hot water were a luxury we looked forward to every evening. The kitchen was modern, spotless, and fully equipped with everything we needed.One of our favorite features was the view from the back of the property: lush green fields stretching toward the ocean beyond. It was peaceful, scenic, and exactly what we hoped for when visiting the island. Having a private driveway for parking was also a huge plus.What truly made our experience unforgettable, though, was the host, Germano. From booking through departure, his communication was exceptional. He shared thoughtful recommendations for hikes, sightseeing, restaurants, and hidden gems that only a local would know. Because Laura’s Cottage is a family venture, you can genuinely feel the pride and care they put into every detail.We completely fell in love with the island, and we know our experience was deeply connected to the hospitality and warmth we received at Laura’s Cottage. We would absolutely stay here again and recommend it without hesitation.
