Summary:
Famous local architect Kay Fisker crowned his work with masterpiece Dronningegården (Queens Courtyard) by 1958. We finished a complete renovation of 9 beautiful apartments in 2024 and the doors are now open for guests to experience how well light and beautiful details play together when done right. Classy history meets modern functionality in perfect location for Copenhagen visits.
The Space:
Description
The 2 bedroom apartments are perfect for a family or two/three couples in need of a short or longer stay. Washer, dryer, full size kitchens, spacious bathrooms etc. All the amenities are there and of the highest quality. Combining this with the historic details and the matching interior design done by Bungalow5 this place makes you never want to go back home.
A TOUR OF THE PLACE
We do have several apartments of this type so floor plans can vary a bit.
From the street entrance take a couple of steps up to find the apartment entrance on high ground floor (mezzanine).
The entrance has plenty of space for you to leave your luggages and hang your overcoats.
The nice and clean bathroom is attached to the entrance. It is spacious with a shower with hot water that never runs out and a washer and dryer for your dirty laundry. One apartment even has a second toilet/washroom.
Enter the bright living area from the entrance. In the lounge section there is a comfortable 3 person sofa that unfolds to a high quality queensize bed (160x200cm). Take a seat in one of the lounge chairs to watch your favourite Netflix show on the 50” Smart TV.
The kitchen is grand and fully equipped for hosting a family dinner at the round dining table for 6.
The two bedrooms have cabinets and comfortable kingsize (180x200cm) beds with a hypoallergenic pillow selection and warm fluffy comfy’s for those cool Scandinavian nights. In one bedroom the bed splits into two singles if preferred.
The Neighborhood:
Dronningegården is a true Copenhagen gem with a perfect and quiet location right behind Kongens Have (The Kings Garden) and the cultural hotspot of Kongens Nytorv. The building is from 1958 and was recently declared protected due to its architectural value. The metro station is 7 minutes walking and from there a 12 minute ride to the airport.
Getting Around:
Metro station Kongens Nytorv is 8 min. walking away.
