We loved the house and it was a great setup for our family trip to Monteverde. Located outside of the center of town, we had a quiet space to unwind. Our kids enjoyed the walking paths and the hammocks on the back porch. The area is embedded in nature while providing the comfortable space for the 6 of us. Definitely recommend this place for future Monteverde explorers!

The cutest home in Monteverde! Our family of 6 had a wonderful time adventuring on hikes, hanging bridges, visiting waterfalls, and doing night walks. Diana was excellent in helping us set up the best activities and making suggestions through out our trip. We felt very taken care of and would highly recommend her home as it’s tucked away from all of the touristy traffic in the main parts of Monteverde. We look forward to a visit again in the future!

The listing said 4 rooms - there were only 3, that actually caused some problems. No hot water. We wanted to use the BBQ but needed Charcoal - a propane BBQ would have been better. It was more money than it should have been. There are better options. You can do better.

Clean, cozy, and well cared for..We stayed one night at Villa El Nido MonteverdeThe place was very clean, and you can tell it’s an older home that’s been kept up with a lot of care. Comfortable, loved, and well-maintained. Communication with the owner was excellent, and check-in was straightforward as the key was left for us in a convenient space.A few highlights:Spacious for the size (easy to spread out)Nice overall setup for relaxing after a day in MonteverdeGood base for the area with access to the town, shops and restaurants.A couple of minor notes:The location was a bit confusing at first (behind a hotel), but once we realized where it was, we found it quickly.I thought there was an on-site washer/dryer, but after arriving, I noticed the listing said "coin laundry." I’m assuming it’s nearby somewhere, but we never found it (and since we were only there one night, it wasn’t a big deal).Bottom line: we enjoyed our stay, and I’d recommend it if you want a clean, comfy, well-cared-for place in Monteverde

The house was dated but it was spacious and had a wonderful peaceful deck. I would liked a wash rag for my face and better lighting in the rooms. It’s very dark in there. The wind was insane and it sounded like the house was going to blow down. It was very creepy and the restaurant across had people there late making a lot of noise. I didn’t mind it overall, but it wouldn’t be my first choice.
