In the heart of the Amalfi Coast, just a stone’s throw from public transportation, parking, and taxis, this historic building has been beautifully renovated and sits right in the center of the charming town of Praiano, close to Positano, Amalfi, and other iconic sites such as Marina di Praia, Fiordo di Furore, and the Emerald Grotto.
Breathtaking trails and famous hiking paths are just a short distance away; the entrance to the Sentiero degli Dei (Path of the Gods) is nearby, as are footpaths and stairways leading down to the sea, coves, and hidden, pristine beaches that—once discovered—will be hard to forget.
The villa (actually a tower) gets its name from its ancient function as a trading post and for storing precious merchandise gathered from long voyages to distant lands; One could purchase salt, tobacco, matches, and newspapers.

The property is located in the center of Praiano, within walking distance of the markets and shops along the main road, the post office, tobacco shop, newsstand, grocery store, and butcher shop, as well as numerous restaurants, bars, a pharmacy, taxi and limousine services, and bus stops to all destinations. The ferry to Naples, Sorrento, and Capri is down at the beach.
