This characterful cottage in the charming village of Appledore is ideal for friends or family looking for a memorable stay on the Devon coast. Wander through the village's narrow, winding streets lined with pastel-coloured cottages, browsing the independent shops. The bustling quayside is perfect for watching fishing boats come and go while enjoying a famous ice cream. Take the foot ferry across to Instow between April and October and stroll on the beach. The golden sands of Westward Ho! (3 miles) offer a classic bucket and spade or water sports beach day.
Step into this inviting cottage, where rustic charm and contemporary comfort effortlessly blend to ensure a memorable stay. The lounge has a feature fireplace that takes centre stage. Wooden beams and exposed stone walls add character and a warm ambience, so you can easily unwind during your stay. Downstairs, you'll find a double bedroom alongside a bathroom. Outside, steps lead up to a south-facing private patio area with garden furniture, perfect for relaxing with a morning coffee. Roadside parking is available nearby, or there's a pay-and-display car park at the end of the street.
History lovers can explore Bideford (3 miles), home to the fascinating Burton Art Gallery and the historic Pannier Market, or step back in time at Tapeley Park (4 miles), a grand country house with beautiful Italian gardens. The Big Sheep (5 miles) is a fantastic day out for families, with farm animals, roller coasters, and live shows.
