The Forge rests in Marksbury, Somerset and can sleep two people in one bedroom.
The Forge is a spectacular semi-detached property nestled in the village of Marksbury, Somerset. There is one double bedroom within the property along with a shower room featuring a walk-in shower, making the property suitable to sleep up to two people. All on the ground floor, the property is also home to an open-plan living space which includes a kitchen, dining area and sitting area with an electric fire. To the front of the cottage is a gravelled area with seating, as well as ample roadside parking. The Forge is a marvellous property for a romantic retreat on the outskirts of Bath. Please note: This property is near a main road, some road noise may be heard.
Amenities: Oil central heating. Electric double oven and hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, washer/dryer, dishwasher. TV and WiFi. Fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Roadside parking. Two well-behaved pets welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shop 0.3 miles, pub 0.8 miles. Note: This property has been furnished with the less mobile in mind. The church of St Peter dates back to the 12th Century but is mainly from the 15th Century is Grade II listed with many interesting features. Notable residents of Marksbury include Joseph Harding (1805 - 1876) known for being the “Father of Cheddar Cheese”. The village boasts many beautiful public footpaths and walks. The nearby villages of Farmborough, Timbsury and Compton Dando are home to an abundance of amenities, including a variety of businesses, farms, shops and pubs. Within close reach you can find Bath, hosting even more amenities for all of the party to enjoy. With a large selection of eateries and bars to indulge in, there's no better lunch spot.
