Mar de las Calmas: A paradise at your hand on Inhaca Island!

Welcome to Mar de las Calmas, a paradise on Inhaca Island where nature meets comfort. Just five minutes from Inhaca Village, you can enjoy a cozy and relaxing space with complete privacy, surrounded by mangroves and a lush tropical garden, with beautiful views of the sea and Portuguese Island. Here you can delight with an incredible sunset and a mesmerizing starry sky, while relaxing to the sound of the sea!

The villa features two bedrooms fully equipped with independent access and can accommodate 4 guests. Both bedrooms have a balcony and views of the sea and the garden. Guests have access to the entire outdoor space, including outdoor kitchen, barbecue area, dining area, fireplace, outdoor bathrooms and showers, hammocks and deck chairs.

Mar de las Calmas is in a privileged location for astronomical observation, and organizes guided night sky observation sessions, including an on-site telescope and laser-guided constellation tours.

Mar de las Calmas team has a divemaster specialized in Underwater and Hyperbaric Medicine, with extensive knowledge of the Santa Maria marina reserve, and we organize guided snorkel tours exclusively for our guests.

We also have available for renting sand-adapted bikes (fat bikes) to explore the island from a different perspective. We help our guests to organize all their activities on Inhaca Island, as well as transportation from Maputo to the island by private boat, if required.

Our daily rate includes breakfast, daily housekeeping service, and transportation from the Inhaca port to the accommodation on the arrival day, and from the accommodation to the port on the departure day.

Mar de las Calmas is located in a protected reserve, and we prioritize respect for the surrounding nature and local communities. Whenever possible, we use recycled materials, and all our room decor is handcrafted, sometimes in collaboration with local artists. We also have a social project to expand astronomy knowledge in local schools, both on the island and in the city of Maputo.
